Yep. These floor tiles store up kinetic energy from the impact of footsteps and can be used to power any number of things!
Imagine these tiles in a convention center, where the footfall powers the aircon, electricity and wifi, I mean... that's cool as hell if you ask me.

I love these kind of inventions, harnessing the energy we already put out in our daily lives (in this case footsteps) and then using it for other energy needs we have.

Wow, i read the post, watched the video and i got what you meant. This is super doper lol, this kind of Energy will be all over malls, event centers, soccer field and host of others. I love the transforming and beauty it carries and it is damn lovely seeing that every foot counts. Awesome hunt

Taking energy from the floor is a great concept. Other companies in the market are trying this as well, ranging from club/disco floors, to enhancing football (soccer) field with such type of 'floors'. The performance seems to be the issue, well, the performance/cost ratio. But I certainly hope this technology can become cost effective. The aesthetics of the Pavegen v3 I think is pretty cool; I certainly like the way the path looks in the photos above.

Hi @ dayleeo, very unusual and brilliant hunting.
Every step that a man does is means that he has been using energy to squeeze 75 kg from one to another.
People do not think about the steps that way, because it "implies".
However, in the steps we see how much energy is needed by 1 step.
Now, when this energy is "stealing" or transforming into the accumulating energy in the battery, the genius of these tiles is seen.
We can only imagine their possible mass use ...
For example: Pedestrian zones - that would be mini power plants ...

These would probably work really well in gyms and on playgrounds. Even if the blockchain aspect doesn't take off immediately, just the fact that it harvests clean, sustainable energy is excellent.

This is in deed a great hunt and innovations and creativity at its best and the amalgamations of kinetic energy and blockchain is really impressive. I would say it is next generations technology with simple ideas.

WOW !, take a look at this, this product can be very useful when it is mass adoption. Even we can turn on the house with just footsteps. If in a larger scale, of course we can also turn on a city only with this tool.
The concept is so interesting, I can't wait to wait for the realization.

Definitely the coolest hunt today! The technology itself is a great innovation. To be able to transform something as simple as people's footsteps into energy that can be used to power something else is amazing. But, to combine that with the Blockchain, add value to the person's footsteps, and then monetize it so everyone can benefit. That's something I can definitely get behind. Best part is that the panels also look nice, so designers and architects won't have to worry about forcing something "ugly" into their design. Lol!

So true. There are lots of good products out there, idea-wise. But when it comes to how they look, that's when they get the problems with adoption.
The idea behind this is absolutely golden! I saw a few years ago in Denmark a team installed piano-like tiles on stair that emitted a sound when stepped on. These stairs were located right next to an escalator. Once pedestrians noticed the sound emitted when stepped on, people started flocking to the stair instead of using the escalator. This product reminds me of that. Soooo cool.

Nice one @dayleeo. This reminds me of a video i saw of a gym, that was powering itself from the kinetic energy generated from its cardio machines. Anyway, you hunt is really cool. This product has application on sidewalks, parks, and so many places. Great hunt.
