Ok so I'll be honest here on why I want to go to Steemfest 2, Lisborn.
I'm a 19 year old boy from Assam( Northeast), India. And being a teenager from a middle class family in the 21st century is kinda disheartening.
My dad is a state government public servant, a police, who have a salary of INR 35000($500) and have two loans on our burdens, which didn't gave me a chance to visit places with my family outside Assam. Leave places to visit outside Assam. I've never visited all the places in Assam and Northeast like all of my friends have visited and and every 29 states in India.. I've visited like 4 places only in Assam and that too because of Parkour. And one was through Steemit money. So being honest, I've never visited places to keep memories before I die or never did something that would make my parents proud. As that said, I've never done a travelling through flight as price of tickets are too much for a family like ours.
Being a teenager I too want branded clothes, gaming laptops and a desired bike just like all of my friends/classmates own. But I can't get them for our financial crisis and I don't even want to force my parents for getting any of these. And that is the reason why I'm on Steemit. I want to help myself buy branded clothes, visit places with my parents but I know I can't buy my desired bike from my Steemit wallet as my posts are not that good and have less followers. Or I'm even thinking to deposit my money in banks for my future use or to help pay the loans that my dad is still paying from last 8 years instead of buying a bike or wasting it in clothes, foods or stuffs like that.
And if I win a free trip to Lisborn, half of my dreams would come TRUE and my parents would be proud of me. Cause I've never made them feel proud to give birth to me. Ever! And visiting Lisborn for Steemfest 2 would make 3 of my dreams come true:-
- Visiting place outside Assam and India.
- Being in a plane for a purpose tour and to that place which is my favourite place i.e., LISBORN, PORTUGAL
- Conquering my dream through Steemit and from my hardwork, making my mom/dad proud.
- And most importantly,
I'll be going for Steem fest from Steem community helped by @joseph to achieve my dream which wasn't full filled in my existing life because of financial problem. But you helped me achieved it and to learn something from Steem fest and also contributing to it.
Even if I won't get selected for a free trip to steemfest2, I won't feel sad because this is the first time I've shared this things with anyone in my life and I'm feeling good. I'm feeling positive.
