Our Art is going to ArtAtSteemfest --
Lisbon, Portufal, here we come!!!
A grand opportunity has arisen for sharing our art
at SteemFest2 in the LX Factory.
The venue will be open November 1-5, 2017
to all SF2 goers, and the public as well.
We will be sharing the arts from our Steemit community,
so if you're an artist,
this is your opportunity to get in on the action and shine!!!
TWO OPPORTUNITIES:
1. ALL HOSTS/FACILITATORS OF ART INITIATIVES HERE ON STEEMIT: Whether going to SF2 or not, each host is invited to:
- Choose and gather 5-10 images from your contest/challenge/collaboration, as a sample of the caliber of work being shared here on Steemit.
- Get permission and any additional information required/requested (artists' screen name, title of work, artists' country of origin), from the artist of each image you choose to print and/or project their art at SF2. By submitting the art on their behalf, you are assuring that permission from each artist is granted.
- Submit each piece (1 piece per form - so you will be filling out 5-10 forms) by following this link. This link will show all the information required for each art submission. Highest resolution possible please (@roelandp requested 4000 px).
- Share this post or link with other Steemians who are hosting art initiatives ASAP - or better yet, even make a post of your own to share this opportunity. Deadline is one week from today, Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at midnight CST.
- There is no guarantee that art submitted will be exhibited, as that will depend on the number of submissions and how much art the space allows.
Here is the list of art initiatives I am aware of so far who are included in this invitation to exhibit. Just imagine, 5-10 pieces of art from each of these initiatives making their way to SF2!!! We are an incredibly prolific community of artists. If you are in contact with any of these artists, please be sure to share this post with them. And if you know of other initiatives of art here on Steemit I have not mentioned, please make me aware of it and pass this information on. Thank you!!

2. EVERY INDIVIDUAL ARTIST HERE ON STEEMIT: Whether going to SteemFest2 or not, every individual artists is invited to:
- send one (1) image to potentially be in the exhibition, either in print or projection, at the ArtAtSteemfest venue.
- Follow the instructions in @roelandp's announcement of ArtAtSteemfest.
Here's some quoted information from @roeland's post:
- Supply a HIGH RESOLUTION (printable, so really high resolution (1024 pixels wont work, lets go for 4000 pixels minimum) version of your work and your Steem username, the title of your work, year of creation, and country of residence via this form.

- Submitting won't guarantee your work will be displayed at SteemFest
- By submitting your work you give us, organisation of SteemFest the right to reproduce your work whether digitally or in print for the purpose of displaying it at SteemFest 2017. You retain all rights ofcourse.

Thanks my friend already send the Artwork with 9.9 mb and 3500px (4000 px is more weight like 15 mb idk why?) thanks for text me!! it´s done <3 I send the art in two different forms with different questions one with 9.9 mb and other in 20 mb with 4200 px :S I think it´s done.

I feel a little sad I can't be there this year, to late in the game, but I feel a very powerful call for the next year`s event.

Awe.....you will definitely be with us @nature.art. So glad you are tuning in even though you won't physically make it to Lisbon. The art spirit will be powerful there, and I know you will feel it!!!
There are so many little things to be done. I don't know how @roelandp juggles it all, but he really has the magic in flow. I'm grateful to be a part of things and to bring some beautiful creations to the table.

Hello @everlove! I am a facilitator for #NeedleworkMonday! I would like a go at being included in this wonderful opportunity to have art displayed at SteemFest 2. Every Monday we post needlework art such as crocheting, sewing, bead work, doilies, knitting etc. I would love to try to get a few ladies to participate in this with me! I really love the diversity of Steemit too! We all are so excited to enter. I am going to try and get our entries in before Tuesday. If any of our pictures are not the right format will someone get back with us so we can get it corrected? Although my goal is to make sure all of the pictures are the required resolution. Some are just nervous they won’t get it right.
I am unsure of how to get it right as well as I don't really understand all that pixel, resolution thing. Perhaps asking around to find someone who can make that clear would be ideal. The deadline is posted right up to print time, so there likely won't be much time for return and resubmission.

This is a busy week and all. Today is a holiday but it's a long day which started in the morning with some volunteer work. I got to see if I can get one of more photos in :-)
When you submit your individual work, be certain to use the correct link as suggested in @roelandp's post, not the one for hosts of the art initiatives. Would be great to have your participation.

Dear steemer, when I went into the contents of the steem fest, I was really excited when I learned that there would be a steem art event. Because I personally think I have a piece of art that would be very good for what the Steemit community is. Namely an open vision of both technology and all forms of creativity.
'Books vs Ict' is an artwork that I just want to address the changeability of technology and its associated knowledge. With which I want to reflect the evolution of book printing to social media through the various photo editions and the associated short film.
