This is really incredible. I haven't tried yet, but is there already an app, or a search one can use to find people in your area? I'd love to know who's already involved here, and get together with them. Does anyone know of anything like that, or how did you find your countrymen, Von?

Its meetup.com basically. That uses alot of good algorithms to find people nearby and suggest that group to them. It also uses some friend suggesting aswell. When I started it I just made it, and people found the group basically. They get suggestions from meetup based on interests and other factors.
