Thank you for cleaning STEEM

You're doing Gods work!

I saw some people receiving rewards from steemcleaners, how does that work? Can we report links somewhere and get rewarded if that post is indeed spam/plagiarism?

That's what I want to know.

respect the rules

all images on this blog are stolen from google without reference https://steemit.com/life/what-is-environmental-pollution-and-how-you-are-in-a-green-environment-part-2017713t122713528z - i had to take out the offenders name from the link , for fear of retaliation as he has lots of influence - hope you can find it

how about this user ' dojoexle' posts all google images without reference or claiming free use

Peaceful greetings @steemcleaner, Steemians and Steemir wherever you are, I am @nauval new member at @steemit and I know inigin to know more about plagiarism. Honestly as a new person of this social media I once did Plagiat and say reprimanded by @cheetah. Does that mean I am not a steemians or what will be affected to the votes I get, please answer ..?

Thank you for this post and all the others like it - very helpful to us tiny fish. I saw your comment on another post about spam, so I am asking you here for clarification and rules you can point me to if there are some. I am currently overwhelmed with steemit learning so maybe I missed this topic.

I am in the weight loss and health niche and have been for years now. I just started here and have not done much posting on my main topic since I do not want to mess up and post my "key" content only to have it be done wrong. So I have nothing on my feed to refer you to as an example - I am just thinking and planning now.

My question is: Can I post affiliate links on this platform? I would be disclosing per federal law appropriately as I do on many other platforms. The type of post I have would be -

"Why you should use XXX for your health and here are several places to buy this product"

"How to avoid XXX toxic food additive and what to buy and use instead"

and on and on.

This would be a post of say 1500 words with a description of the uses, benefits, and details for Product XXX along with 6-8 purchasing recommendations. Not all links would be affiliated but many would be.

Generally speaking - the products are food or kitchen implements to fix that food, but I have hundreds of random recommendations on various topics because I am diverse.

So can the links be put here at all? Would it be considered spam even if they were appropriately done?

My target audience is not steemers for the most part, but instead I will be going for google searchers. I am good with seo and the steemit alexa ranking tells me I can rank here easily compared to my lowly sites.

I could also link out to blog posts on my "real" blog or you tube videos that already have affiliate links etc. This would be somewhat awkward, but I can do it if that would be a better plan.

I really love it here and I do not want to misstep. Thank you again :)

I'm just a new user of 2 months, so don't take my word as gospel.
From all the reading I have done, there are very few rules. People are here to make money, so if your thing is affiliate links, I'm pretty sure its fine. The things the community is against is things that will ultimately hurt the platform. Posting junk, plagiarism, SPAM, etc. is frowned upon and could invite being flagged (downvoted) which will hurt your reputation and ability to succeed on this platform.

Writing informative / interesting articles is what the community is wanting. Having it link out shouldn't be an issue in my mind. Everyone is free to vote as they wish, so there is no official policeman here. Some members of this platform have made bots that attempt to regulate the community, but if the community was against the bots, they could vote against the bot too. It all comes down to who has the most money invested in Steem Power; and they will win the flagging war.

Thank you for that information. All my work is mine and hopefully not junk or spam :) I'll post a few and see if I get good or bad feedback.

It's nice to see your posts monitoring things. With the great rankings for this site, bad content is not a good idea here. One of the reasons I joined was that good content began to show up in my searches. I kept seeing steemit - just over the last couple of months. Now I hope people will find me this same way.

Although your response to my reply to your question is public, you actually responded to happyme and not steemcleaners. I'm assuming you wanted to respond to steemcleaners because of your comment

It's nice to see your posts monitoring things.

I just happened to be reading the post and saw your question and wanted to help by giving you my opinion.

To respond to the OP (original poster), use the "reply" link at the bottom of the original post.

To navigate to MY page, click my username and a window opens. In that window, click my name again. If you scroll down a ways, I made 3 posts that may help you to understand Steemit better. How To Grow Your Own Money Tree explains the security features. Addendum to What Other Tutorials Don't Tell you is additional information to the original post of What Most Other Tutorials Don't Tell You.

Hopefully those will be of some use to you. I still refer to them myself on occasion.

Oh my goodness! Thank you - I get very confused in these replies sometimes (old lady alert) - thank you so much for helping and I will look at all of this and do better soon!

Addendum to What Other Tutorials Don't Tell you <<< THIS is what I need! Ergh...

There is a lot to learn on this platform, so don't feel bad. My first 2 weeks on here were 14- hr. days just studying this stuff. On top of that, the platform is still in Beta, so changing all the time. The platform itself is not very user-friendly, so others have created their own applications that help. I'm still finding little gems of information here and there.

I'm doing that constant posting and learning now too. I read posts and sometimes the whole thing goes over my head. I know it will sink in at some point, so I keep trying. Thank you for all the help.

Affiliate links when used in original written content is fine. What we are looking for are those that are using copy & paste templates and posts that fall into the category of spam.
