I recently met an old friend of mine and we were talking about how our lives had been the last time we met and though it seemed as though his life was on a smooth sail, I must say that this friend of mine continually said something no matter the compliment I gave to him. He kept on saying "It's the Grace." Yes, he is a Christian(if you are asking) but he never failed to acknowledge the fact that all his achievements from life so far, was not by his power.
That is what truly struck me. Because he was more hardworking than anyone I knew and yet he never ever in the time I knew him in the past or during our meet-up, claim that he was responsible for his success. He attributed it all to the Grace of God.
Most Christians today forget that " the very air that we breathe," it is because God willed it to be so. We are alive, safe and sound and also of sound mind and health, but do we really think it's by our power, or that it's because we eat certain things (Don't get me wrong, eating the food helps) and others don't. Or do we think that we are more fortunate than those who have been diagnosed with one or two terminal ailments that we belittle the role of God's grace in our lives.
The truth is we are not more righteous than those that are dead or have not been as lucky as we are in health and in wealth. The book of Ephesians tells us in chapter 2 verses 8 to 9, that we are saved by Grace, a gift from God, and it is not by the works we do, so that no man can boast.
The verses make it clear that our righteousness and deeds, are not what makes us to be counted as a member of the flock of the Lord, it is simply because he seems it so. Why then should you fail to acknowledge the Creator, why then should you fail to give him praise for the gift of life and all that there is around your life?
We can do better as believers in his sanctuary. Our daily desire should be how to please God.
So my dear brethren of the #steemchurch, I do hope that we continue to reflect the true meaning of what it is to be a Christian and always give thanks for the grace of God in our lives.
Thanks for reading.

We cannot accomplish great things on our own. God's assistance makes us better. Without God, we would be mere dust, but he gave life to us.
No matter the exalted position we find ourselves let us remember it is because of God's assitance.
truly my friend its by the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that secede us all throughout whatever we do. and we are indeed call for to allows be grateful for the grace given to us by HIM
I love that part! Most Christian feel that way and it beats my imagination. Nothing in this life that we have or do that is not given to us by God.
Great post
Thanks for this kind of reflection. it is always good to discuss things about God and we need him in our life.
