God established the marriage rules
God established the marriage rules
In every human enterprise there are laws or regulations to guarantee operation. Marriage, which was instituted by God, also has its clearly established principles that, if taken into account, will allow spouses and children to live in an atmosphere of harmony. Let's see the guidelines that God left embodied in his Word.
1.-Marriage must be monogamous.
That means that it should only be contracted with another person. The Bible teaches that God brought the man a woman. </ B> In Genesis 2:22, we read: "And from the rib that the LORD God took from man, he made a woman, and brought her to man."
The Bible also says: "For this cause shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh." Ef. 5:31
The word monogamy comes from the Greek: * monos *, one + * gamos *, union. It is the state or situation of one who is married only to one person.
2.-Marriage must be heterosexual.
We have stated that, according to the Bible, marriage should only be contracted with another person, but here we add that it must be of a different sex; that is, between a man and a woman. God brought Adam a woman. Let's read what the Word of God says in Genesis 1:27: "And God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. "It was already said that Genesis 2:22 states that God made a woman, and brought her to man."
The term heterosexual comes from the Greek * heteros *, different, another + Latin * sexus, sex *. It is said of the individual who has sexual inclination towards the other sex.
3.-Jesus Christ ratified the original design of the marriage.
The Lord Jesus Christ said: "Have you not read that the one who made them at the beginning, * male and female * made them, and said: This is why the * man * will leave father and mother, and will be joined to his * wife *, and the two will be one flesh? "Mt. 19: 4-5.
Men began to violate the biblical principle of marriage and came to contract multiple unions. Jesus Christ, God manifested in flesh, ratified the full validity of marriage, reminding us that the Scripture says that the one who made them at the beginning, created them * male and female *: A man and a woman. Any position other than this are additions of men.
4.-The marriage must be kept in a state of honor.
Spouses must keep fidelity to one another, as the Word of God says: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the * bed undefiled," but for fornicators and adulterers will be judged by God. " Hebrews 13: 4.
In man he should rejoice with his wife, without thinking of the strange woman (Proverbs 5: 15-20). Jesus Christ demanded husbands * purity of heart * in the marriage relationship.
Let's look at the following biblical verses:
"You will not commit adultery." Ex. 20:14.
"You have heard that it was said: You will not commit adultery, but I tell you that anyone who * looks at a woman to lust * has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Mt. 5: 27-28.
"And I say to you that whoever divorces his wife, * except for sexual immorality *, and marries another, commits adultery, and whoever marries the disowned, adulterous woman." Mt. 19: 9
"But he who commits adultery is * lacking in understanding. * He corrupts his soul who does it." Wounds and shame will he find,
And his insult will never be erased. "Pr. 6: 32-33.
5.-God does not approve marriage between people of the same sex.
As we have stated previously, God established a monogamous and heterosexual marriage. Men have tried to distort biblical teaching. again we take up the words of Jesus Christ our Savior: "he who made them at the beginning, * male and female * made them."
The same anatomical structure with which God created man and woman, where one and the other complement each other, thwarts any attempt of men for legal practices that are against nature.
That sexual perversion and other sins were the reasons why God * destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah *.
Let's read the following verses:
1 So the two angels came to Sodom in the evening; and Lot was sitting at the gate of Sodom. And when Lot saw them, he got up to meet them, and he bowed down to the ground,
4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, all the people together, from the youngest to the oldest, surrounded the house.
5 And they called Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men that came to thee this night? Take them out, * so that we know them *. Gn. 19: 1,4-5
13 For we are going to destroy this place, because the cry against them has risen from the spot before Jehovah; therefore, Jehovah has sent us to destroy it. Gn. 19:13
24 And the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; Gn. 19:24.
26 For this reason God gave them up to shameful passions; for even * his wives changed the natural use * for which it is * against nature *,
27 and likewise also * the men *, leaving the * natural use of the woman *, were lighted in their lust for one another, * committing shameful acts of men with men *, and receiving in themselves the retribution due to their loss. Ro. 1: 26-27.
6.-Conclusion.
Marriage had its origin in God. To work well, the principles established by the designer must be taken into account. Every marriage that is constituted must conform to the provisions indicated in the Deed.
Consider what I say, and the Lord gives you understanding in everything. 2 Ti. 2: 7.

Ro. 1:26-27.
