Psalms 127: 1
Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
Firstly, I will start by saying that a Christian home is not defined by the character of the children, but it’s defined by the attitude of the parent or what the parents are doing. Most people feel they have a Christian home because their children are raised up in a Christian way or something.
Your child could listen to only Christian music, keep only Christian friends, watch only Christian movies, read every missionary biography in the library, always attend and never miss Sunday school service, and yet not living in a Christian home.
Your children cannot be so good enough to make your home become a Christian home, no matter how much they do enough Christian things. Only you the parents, can make your home a Christian home especially in this generation.
So What, Then, Makes a Home Christian or rather How to Build a Christian Home?
A Christian home, is one in which God is present in the life of the parents. It’s said to be a Christian home not just in name, but it’s a reality. Christ is present in the home, the presence of the Holy Spirit is always felt.
The Christian family needs a firm foundation. A physical house that is built with a physical foundation is also destined to fall. But the Christian home needs a foundation that is not physical, therefore Christ needs to be the foundation of the home.
Matthew 7:24-27
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
As a parent, both literally and figuratively, your home needs to stand for God. You must choose to build your own house, on the rock of Christ that never fail, which is the solid rock.
Apostle Paul admonished every parents to bring up their children in the way and instruction of the lord.
If we try to raise a Christian home by immersing morals in the children or teaching them how to be decent and having a fantastic childhood, to me I don’t think this can solve anything.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Let’s take a huge step today and impact great things in our children. And we cannot impact what we don’t have as parents. So therefore let’s stand firm in the things of God and create a better future for our kids today.
We have to build our Christian homes. It is vital we build it spiritually strong, so that no matter the obstacles that may come the famiky will stand strong.
Family worship is an important part of our worship. It helps to bring family members closer and stronger in christ. Nice one.

Great write up. You made me remember the song "God give us Christian Home"
When a virtuous woman and a virtuous man engage in holy matrimony, then it is an ideal marriage because it encompasses the virtues that a marriage should have. An eternal family will always be in existence when built in God's name.
Christ is the iwner of every Christian house .
Give him your whole heart and expect a miraculous grace from him.
A house build on christ never falls for he is the concrete foundation.
build your family in the lord
It is only by divine wisdom can a true Christian home be built.
