God revealed to Adam: "With the sweat of your face you will eat the bread" (Genesis 3:19). Apart from being a temporary law, this was a given law for the salvation of Adam's soul. There is no real division between spiritual, mental and physical work. Work is essential for our progress, for the development of our character and for many satisfactions more than idlers can never enjoy.
