Being a Christian does not mean having a bible, being a Christian means living the bible (putting it into practice). When we are born again we need our new life to be governed (governed) by Christ Jesus. Being a Christian means living the teachings of Christ: of forgiveness, love, service, humility, mercy, etc. Every true Christian lives on the basis of the teachings of Christ. We can not be Christians if we do not live as Christ told us to do: we are not Machiavellians, we are not Buddhists, we are not Socratians, we are Christians and for that reason we live what Christ himself taught us to live.
