The law of Moses given to us in the ten commandment is all about seeing yourself, the new covenant of grace brought to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is about seeing Jesus. Many people today behave like the Pharisees in the bible, they hold the laws of Moses so dear to their heart and continue to life a life of self judgement, torment and believe their good works will make them whole. The pharisees in the bible were bible scholars that had great knowledge of the scripture, believing they know the word of God but they could not identify when the word was made flesh and was dwelling in their midst.
Today many Christians are just bible scholars for they open the bible daily just to accumulate bible knowledge instead of looking at the scriptures to see more of Jesus and to have a connection with our maker. We should study the bible to have revelations about Jesus and his finished work. As Christians we should study the bible with the mind of gaining understanding and having revelations through the holy spirit not just, we shouldn't study it like it's just one of the many literature works.
2 Corinthians 3: 4-6
4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit;[a] for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
You should see Jesus in everything you do, from your health to your finance and anything that concerns you. He is the great provider that is capable of giving you all you need in bountiful supply. Look to Jesus daily for the word, for direction, look to him in bad times and god times. As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he could walk on water but once he looked away from Jesus and looked into the storm, the challenges and stressful circumstances he started seeing impossibilities and difficulties and that was when he began to sink.
When people look away from Jesus they begin to disassociate from the things and community of God and start to rely more on their own power and resources. They begin to feel time is too precious to spend with God all delegate all their time to other things like work, school and even family. God can accomplish for you far more than you can ever think of accomplishing with your own power and resources. Look to Jesus always for your guidance and salvation.
Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Thanks for this writeup Sandra, we have to check ourselves to see if we are still imitators of Jesus. We value our lovely sisters at SteemChurch.

Personally, I feel it is really bad for people imitating the pharisees. They thought that because of their use of many words that they will be saved, but that was not the case. We truly have to be imitators of Jesus.
The law of Moses I believe is a little okay, it reduce some crime and evil things, but people miss used it, the law sometimes put fear in some people's heart,
But thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for bring the new laws and rules and restoring every back.
Most Christians today accumulate knowledge from the bible without applying it, We should imitate Christ life by accumulating and applying these bible principles.
And this is the truth alot of christains even worship their pastors and therefore forget that its all about jesus!
Studying the Bible goes beyond reading and understanding it. Without practicing its teachings, the lessons we learn from it are to be seen in us.
the bible said, be the doer of the word and not the hearer alone, infact, as Christians we have to practice what we read from the bible and also learn to walk in the path of Jesus
Just as the Bible would always say that Jesus is the way, the truth and life.
Yes, we should see Jesus in everything we do. Thank you for sharing
