“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thes. 5:18)

Ingratitude can be describe as the state of being ungrateful .
Often times in academia, Gratitude has a different meaning within positive psychology than what it mean in everyday life.Gratitude is a positive emotion, which is really important because it serves a purpose
Gratitude is a selfless act. Gratitude acts are done unconditionally to show that people that they are appreciated, not because people are looking for something in return; however, that is not to say that people do not return the favor. Gratitude can be contagious, in a good way#what is Igratitude

##The sin of ingratitude
One of the greatest sins of which the inhabitants of the earth are guilty today is the sin of ingratitude

The first chapter in Quran starts with the word ‘Alhamdulillah’ which translates into ‘all praise is for God’. Muslims often respond with ‘Alhamdulilah’ when asked how they are, to be grateful for all they have in life. “If you are grateful, I will certainly give your more” (14:7)

The concept of thankfulness in the New Testament comes from the use of two Greek words. The first is charizomai, which means ‘grace’. The second is homologeo, ‘to confess, acknowledge’, (Heb. 13:15). “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”(Thessalonians 5:18).

###The power of gratitude in A spiritual Life
Do you know for we to Attract God's Grace, we need to be very grateful to God

According to St Ignatius of Loyola
“It seems to me, in light of the divine Goodness, …that ingratitude is one of the things most worthy of detestation before our Creator and Lord, and before all creatures capable of divine and everlasting glory, out of all the evil and sins which can be imagined. For it is the failure to recognize the good things, the graces, and the gifts received. As such, it is the cause, beginning, and origin of all evil and sins” (cited and referenced in Consoling the Heart of Jesus, page 421).

It’s almost unbelievable that Jesus heals 10 lepers in Luke 17 simultaneously. Without fanfare, He simply commands the motley crew, “Go, Go shew yourselves unto the priests.” They exit stage-left and their skin is restored.

Jesus certainly missed an opportunity there to make a big, impressive scene. The Lord was never concerned with aggrandizement. What was unbelievable to Him, however, was the lack of gratitude from the former lepers. Only one makes a U-turn to thank Him for His tremendous miracle.

ONLY ONE!!!!!

As the Bible records, “ And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.” (v. 15-16).

Jesus was shocked and asked, “Were not 10 cleansed? Where are the nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?”

It was so unfortunate that that 90 percent of the lepers missed the second blessing , very important gift Jesus had planned for them. To the lone, grateful Samaritan He responded, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.” Even more important than physical health, this person’s spiritual life had been restored.

Warm regards

He has provided for us all we need to survive through his abundant grace and supernatural joy.
Love is the only thing that can save us from all our evil ways and all the bad things we do in life .
We should always give thanks to those who have done well for us and also make God our major focus in our life and what we do because he Is the only who was able to give us his only begotten son to die for us in the times of our need and when everything seems so bad and hard.
The lord has been our look up every time .
he has already known the look of the earth before he created it.

God adores and bless those who are humble..
... thanks for sharing this post.

Just like the children of Israel in the wildernesses they weren't grateful to God for bringing them out of the wilderness, and they paid dearly for it, we must be grateful to God MO matter the situation

No matter how bad we think things are for us,there are millions of people out there that our life is better of. We just have to be grateful unto God.

If only we can think about those that have died or those in the hospital, we will learn to be grateful for the gift of life and health.

God deserves our praise at all time and not given him praise or be grateful unto God is bad.

A grateful heart always receive while ungrateful heart rob himself from receiving.

Ungrateful people have problems with themselves. They may be self-centered, unloving, rude, angry and hateful. They bear these unhealthy, negative emotions and their stressful consequences. Hopefully, they will come to see it in themselves and decide to change. They would be so much happier if they did. But no one can do it for them.

"Do you thus repay the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is not He your Father who has bought you? He has made you and established you.
Psalm 106:7
Verse Concepts
Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; They did not remember Your abundant kindnesses, But rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea.

A man that love to appreciate God can never be depreciated in the journey of life.
When we appreciate God, we commit Him to do more in our lives and we commit Him to watch over all what we are appreciating Him for.
The bible says " it is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto His name oh most high"

If giving thanks unto God is a good thing, that means, it is a bad thing not to give thanks unto God.

It takes a humble heart with understanding to appreciate God in all circumstances. We ought to give thanks to God always so far we are still alive.
The bible says "let everything that has breath praise the lord, praise ye the Lord"

God deserve our praise

The attitude of gratitude is wonderful and how it feels to be thankful and appreciative, even for the small things we experience in everyday life. ... Gratitude promotes optimism in life and helps us to develop a more positive outlook.

Great article.

Always show gratitude!

The mentality of appreciation is great and how it feels to be grateful and thankful, notwithstanding for the little things we involvement in regular day to day existence. ... Appreciation advances good faith throughout everyday life and causes us to build up a more uplifting viewpoint.

With a greatful heart, you tends to gain access into God's presense.

I say gratitude is a currency that we can mint for ourselves, and spend without fear of bankruptcy.
Therefore show gratitude today!!!!

Yes, our Father will take us higher and increase us, but in all that we do we should be grateful for everything we have. All the people we know, all the material things we have, all the places we've gone are all gifts that many more may not even have. Having a sense of gratitude will make the Lord do more in our lives to glorify His name.

Thanks for sharing with the reasons why we need to grateful all the time

It takes a modest heart with comprehension to acknowledge God in all conditions. We should express appreciation to God generally so far we are as yet alive and who's not there to express the appreciation for God!

Just like the children of Israel in the wildernesses they weren't grateful to God for bringing them out of the wilderness, and they paid dearly for it, we must be grateful to God MO matter the situation

nice post and briefly you describes well done

Human ingratitude is an evil that derives from Adam. The first sin of man-the source of all the evil in him-originated in his refusal to recognize the good with what God had blessed him. If he had not taken for granted all the infinite good with which God blessed him, he would never have eaten from the Tree of Knowledge that he had forbidden. Having a feeling of gratitude it would have been impossible to contradict God's will.

His response to God when he asked him if he ate from the tree emphasizes this ingratitude: "The woman you gave me fed me from the tree, and I ate." Adam was saying in effect: "I did not ask you; She was Your idea. If she persuaded me to sin, sin is your fault. "Although the Torah explicitly tells us that God created woman for the good of man (since" it is not good for man to be alone "), Adam failed to recognize this good. This ingratitude is the underlying cause of his sin.

What is true for Adam is true for all his descendants: ingratitude is the fundamental source of whatever evil they commit.
God bless you! thanks for sharing

Ingratitude is not just a concept it is a seed planted by devil, watered by pride, nourished by negligence and finally springs up destruction and doom.
