LIVING AS LIGHT IN DARKNESS

Phil 2:1-16 For we were once darkness, but now were the light in the Lord.

Live as children of light,for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness,righteousness and truth.

And let found out what pleased the lord. Have nothing to do with the the fruitiness deeds of darkness,but rather expose them.

For it is shameful even to mention what disobedient do in secret.but everytin exposed by the light become visible,for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: ' wake up,o sleeper,rise from the deed and Christ will shine on u. Eph 5:8-14

The world is twisted morally and spiritually, following its own pattern while it refuses to recognize or accept God's value and plan.

Men evade the truth to follow their own darkness reasoning. It is into this light of the world our Lord and savoir Jesus Christ we are to live and share the word of God with those in darkness.

In this regard, we either refrain from doing so,or work at doing so; our resource are to be combined in an all out effort to live and proclaim the gospel.

It is indeed a poor testimony to put into God's service the " left overs" of our time,energy and resource after being preoccupied with making sure that all of our own selfish desire have been met.

Jesus declared, " by this my father glorified,that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples'. We each have the responsibility before God to " let our light shine " in this world that is out calling .

We must not fail the world that we have been called to serve. Jesus is the light in this darkness, perverse world needs; we let our light shine and not conceal it in any way, whether by sin or by compromise by laziness or by fear.

Let remember,light contained in fragile earthenware lamp. 2corin4:7

In scripture the figurative use of light has two aspects:

The intellectual and moral

Intellectual it represent truth, whereas morally it represent holiness.

The figure of darkness has the same two aspect:

Intellectual and moral

Intellectual it represent ignorance and false, whereas morally it cannotes evil.

In psalm 119:105 says, " Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

In this reference, "light" refer to intellectual truth as found in God's words.

In Roma 13:12-14, light refers to moral deeds and darkness to moral deeds.

In conclusion,
How can believer live in the light while residing in a dark world?

1. Believer must remember they are light and not darkness is their nature

2. Believer must produce the fruit of light

3. Believer must continually discern What pleases God.

4. Believer must not pertake in darkness but expose it

5. Believer must covert darkness into light

Lastly brethren

1. Believer must preach to the sleeping.

Light is to illumines the darkness

How shall people see without light?

The truth of the gospel is the light, contained in fragile earthenware lamps. Thanks
