The role of mother that God chooses to grant to many women is of the utmost importance for humanity, since not only are they asked to love their children, but it also entails several other responsibilities.
Love is what directs human values, because love does not convert actions into sacrifices, but into donations; it does not generate resentment, but forgiveness; It does not mean selfishness, but tolerance.
The love that a mother feels for her children obliges her to take care of them, nurture them, give them affection, meet their needs and protect them as very special beings, creations of God.
"The people of Jerusalem said:" God abandoned me, my God forgot me. " But God answered: "Jerusalem, can a mother forget or stop loving her son?" Isaiah 49: 14-15
In the Bible we find several requests to mothers:
*Availability to repeat the teachings at all times and in all places:
"Learn from memory all the teachings that I have given you today, and repeat them to your children at all times and in all places: when you are at home or on the road, and when you get up or when you go to bed." Deuteronomy 6: 6-7
*Get involved in your education:
"And you, parents, do not make your children angry. Rather educate them and give them Christian teachings. " Ephesians 6: 4
*Teach them the Word of God:
"God fixed a permanent law for his people Israel, and ordered our grandparents to instruct their children in it."
Psalm 78: 5
*Be an example so that they can learn by imitating the actions:
"Therefore, never forget everything that has happened to you; on the contrary, they must tell their children and grandchildren. " Deuteronomy 4: 9
The Bible does not mandate that all women become mothers, but it asks those who received this blessing to take this responsibility very seriously.
Therefore, we pray today for all mothers and future mothers, so that God will enlighten them in every decision and give them the necessary wisdom to guide their offspring.
