How horrible it is when only by compromise or reluctantly we give something. Is that when we are at home and a stranger comes to our door asking for a glass of water we have to give with pleasure and quench their thirst. It is inspresindible to be happy when we offer something. Many people consider giving as a painful procedure, but it should be a spontaneous and joyful experience, giving should not be reluctantly considered an obligation, but an opportunity to participate with everyone in ministering to people.
The apostle Paul declares that God loves the one who gives with joy and declares that God the Father is this type of giving, in his epistle to Romans 8:32, in relation to the Father he says: He who spared not his own Son, but who gave him for all of us, how can he not generously give us, together with him, all things? Why do people not consider giving as a joyful privilege? Is it because they are far from God and being far away can not learn from God, can not imitate him in giving with joy?
Because God gives us joy when he gives us. Sometimes, and very often, the human being finds security in material things and therefore does not want to let go of them. Because while you have them you feel safe, but do you know that things are not safe? The Bible says that riches have wings and fly or fly them. That's why if we put our
trust in riches and we say: "I already have so much and I can be sure, I can rest assured", our confidence is badly founded, because that is volatile, that is a very high risk. Our attention and security must be placed in God, who is the giver of riches, because if you lose them, the Lord helps you recover them.
Trust must be in God whether or not we have many resources, but when believers find their security in grace, the goodness and faithfulness of God becomes possible for them to be happy when they give. Open your Bible in 2 Corinthians 9: 6-15, Paul gives us very important advice. They will be enriched not only in things of the soul, of the spirit, but in every sense. You can be enriched academic, political, artistic, sports, economic and
materially. The will of God is that you be enriched in every way. Who among us as a father wants to see our children begging on the street? None.
All parents want our children to be well financially. And when they are wrong we do our best to help them, to solve their problems of housing, business, children, health. Parents are always with the desire and joy of seeing our children well. Do you think that our Father who is in heaven rejoices and says: How good is my son going hungry? What good that they are going to evict him and they are going to throw him out on the street? God's will is for us to be well. Your delight is to see your children well. Do you want to eat well? The Lord gives us enough bread How many have experienced that God supplies the bread of every day to us? I tried it, but we have to learn to be like our Father and give with joy. The Lord is powerful to supply, when there is no He causes there to be. He does miracles of reproduction to abound. That is why it says that it will supply bread so that they can eat, it will increase the crops and it will cause you to produce an abundant harvest of justice.
If God blessed you and made you rich and has already made you a billionaire, do you know why God gave you so much? To be generous on all occasions. God wants us to be enriched in every way so that we are generous and not caught. That is why God makes us prosper.
When believers find their security in the grace, goodness and faithfulness of God, it becomes possible for them to be happy when they give, because when we give a reflection of the nature and character of God, because God enjoys like a father when he sees some traits of himself in his son. When your child drives as you drive, to think as you think, to work as you work, to pay off debts as you pay them, to be honored as you are honored, you feel even more proud, because not only the physical resembles it, but it resembles him in the moral, it resembles him intellectually, it resembles him in the spiritual and God the Father when he sees us acting generously delights, because he says "This son of mine is looking like I'm giving. " Because God is an extremely generous giver. God gives.
Christ did not come to this earth to be served, he came to serve and to give. He gave health to the sick, he gave comfort to the sad, the oppressed gave him freedom, he who needed to pay taxes provided him with taxes. Give with joy. The Lord is responsible for giving us an example. Jesus came to give, Luke 4:18 says clearly: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and to give sight to the blind, to set the oppressed free.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit on our lives is not for us to walk presuming that we have the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is for us to give. It's like the orange grove that is full of oranges, why is it full of oranges? So that it is eaten by the tree or by the hungry that comes near? For us, for others. So we have to learn to be generous with what the Lord gives us, Jesus was giving.
I know you and you are a person who decimates and if possible you can give even what you do not have for the work of God, I know that I could count on your presence to distribute food to many children in orphanages.

It's sad when people tithe because they believe God demands it and then they're unhappy that they gave. The tithe was for the Old Testament to support the priesthood. Giving 10% today is neither the floor nor the ceiling.
