An even greater miracle than cancer cured.

Most of us know God “CAN” heal. The question is “WILL” he?

I took this pic yesterday morning.

God is all powerful and can do anything. The question will He do? The leper in Mark the first chapter had the same thoughts. “Lord if you are willing you can make me whole”. Paraphrased “If you want to you could heal me.”

Mar 1:40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Mar 1:41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

I will or I want to!

Jesus replied I want to heal you or it is my will to heal you.

You can never find Jesus sending someone home telling them God was trying to teach them a lesson.

It is my belief that the church is supposed to carry on the ministry of Jesus to a lost and hurting world.

Two miracles occurred this day. Cancer healed and one even better miracle.

I went to a hospital to visit a friend of mine about 20 years ago. After the visit I was walking down this long hall that passed by many rooms occupied by other patients. This was one of the saddest parts of the hospital as most of the people were dying. As I walked past one room, I looked in and saw a young woman that I sort of recognized. Actually she was so skinny and did not resemble the person I knew, but somehow I knew her.

I stopped at the door and said, “Pat, is that you?” She said “Yes, Bill come in.”

Just to give you a little background, I had worked in the same factory with this girl years before. When we were in the break room one time. Pat was there and about 8 men. She looked around the room and bragged, “I have been with every man in this room, except Bill (me)”.

She was lying there in that hospital bed. She probably only weighed 80 pounds or less (35 kilos). For an American woman that is 5 feet 8 inches tall, she looked horrible. My first priority as a minister of the Gospel, as a follower of the teachings of Christ was the condition of her soul. Without a miracle Pat would surely die and she only had days left.

The Greatest Miracle

The greatest miracle of all is when a person’s sins are forgiven. When God pardons the sinner! When a person is born again, made a new creation in Christ and becomes a totally new person. Rescued from hell, from the 2nd death, welcomed into the family of God and granted eternal life. The name of this person is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. When this happens there is a celebration in heaven. This is by far the best and greatest of all miracles. This is the main passion of my life. If I see you here on this earth, when I get to heaven I want to see you there.

The first miracle

I sat there next to Pat’s hospital bed. There were nurses coming in and out while we talked. I shared the Good News of the Gospel with her, cried with her and prayed. As she cried out to God for forgiveness, and repented of her sins, I could sense the tangible presence of God. Wow! If this was the only thing like this that ever happened in my life, it would be worth it to be there with her on that day.

Her countenance changed. She received absolute peace and the assurance in her heart that she was now officially a child of God. Heaven was celebrating as 1 more lost Lamb was found.

Why am I telling this story?

• To encourage you to trust in the finished Work of Jesus
• To give glory and honor to the Name above all names.
• If you are facing an impossible situation, that you keep or renew your faith in the Son of God.

His Mercies are from everlasting to everlasting. His Mercies are new every morning. His promises are Yes and Amen.

After Pat prayed and we cried and laughed together. I told her that I believe God would heal her of this cancer if we would pray and believe. I rebuked cancer, I rebuked the demonic spirit of infirmity. I declared and commanded that she be healed in the Name of Jesus Christ.

A great miracle began on that day and within a couple of weeks she was sent home and within a month she was completely cancer free. They said they could only detect scar tissue from where the tumors were. 20 years later she is living for Jesus and completely healthy.

The greatest miracle is when our sins are truly forgiven.
