A few days ago I was meditating on a topic that was sent to my email, and today I want to share with you this reflection. It tells about an aborigine already of advanced age who was instructing his grandson about the affairs of life. he said:

• "I witness how a bloody fight takes place inside me, it is a fight without truce between two sides. One side is bad and is made up of hatred, envy, anger, resentment, pride, pride, vanity, greed. The other side is good, and in it are love, kindness, peace, hope, humility, trust. But I tell you that this fight is not only running inside me, but also, within every person. ", And the boy brooding on the subject, asked: Who will get the victory? To which your grandfather replied: the one you choose to feed.

Brothers, although this is not a Christian parable, we can find a great reality in humanity. Brothers, today I want all of us to examine our lives and see the internal battle that is taking place within us, and we can realize which side we are feeding the most. Now we can address the word of God.

Romans 12: 17-21 - Pay no man evil for evil; seek what is good in the sight of all men. 18If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. 19Do not avenge yourselves, my beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God; because it is written: Mine is revenge, I will pay, says the Lord. 20So, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for by doing this, embers of fire will heap on your head. 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Brothers, Paul in these verses, and I believe without hesitation, he speaks to us about this point, about the internal conflict that we have. Brothers, we are living witnesses of this war in our mind. As I mentioned, the main battle is in our minds. It is there where hatred, anger, vanity, greed, resentment and so forth germinate, all these feelings are nourished and their influence lies in the evil that moves this world. It is here, in the mind, where this atrocious battle without truce takes place, and if we do not exercise our lives with intimacy with God, or in His Holy Word, or we are not filled with His Holy Spirit, without a doubt we will be defeated. What can we do to find victory in this battle? Brothers the answer is here: - Let us be filled with the Holy Spirit, and let us feed our lives with His Holy Word!

Sadly one of the characteristics that is visualized in Christianity is that not every believer is victorious in his walk. And this often happens because we stop meditating in our daily walk, we become desensitized when we commit faults. One of the prayers that I like the most about King David is when he asks God to examine and prove his ways, this should be our daily cry. Brothers, we commit sins every day, we must confess them before God, we do not grieve the Holy Spirit for the lack of confession in our lives. Let's look at something in Romans 8: 6-8: "For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 For the plans of the flesh are enmity against God; because they are not subject to the law of God, nor can they; 8And those who live according to the flesh can not please God. "This is how our walk should be, keeping us in the Spirit. We can overcome all opposition in the power of God. But this battle will not be easy, let us understand that this fierce conflict, even though at times it seems impossible to overcome, can be overcome! Have you not read in the Scriptures? In Christ we are more than conquerors, or that Christ has already won, and therefore we will overcome. Let's look at brothers in the Word of God, read in 1 John 5: 4: "For everything that is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith. "That is to say that all of us who have been born of God through faith in Jesus Christ will overcome, God says it, not me, let's read also in Romans 8:37. : "Before, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us". He again tells us that we are more than conquerors through him, so let's feed our daily devotion for God. Brethren, Paul urges us not to let ourselves be overcome by evil, on the contrary we overcome evil through good. So when all these darts full of evil assault our minds, we should not take anything to throw them out of our minds, even worse feed them, because they can get us away from the will of God. A predicate used to say: "We can not stop birds from flying over our head, but we can prevent them from nesting on it" We can not allow them to nest!

I know that all of us have passed, and some may be going through, very difficult moments in our lives, situations that discourage and sadden us, whether they are illnesses; financial problems; problems in their homes, between spouses or between children. As in almost all cases, these problems impede our correct devotion to God. Brothers, if this stops us, if this paralyzes us, we are letting evil overcome us. We are allowing evil to divert us from the will of God, we are allowing the enemy to stop the blessings that God has for us. As this happens in our lives, we have allowed the hardening of our hearts. How dangerous is this! Since this produces that our mind, is not according to the will of God. By allowing the enemy to take this initiative in our lives, and the same to be outside the will of God, from our heart will begin to germinate the contrary to the will of our God, the contrary to the Word of God; the contario to the pardon, the resentment; the contrary to humility, pride, the opposite of love, hatred, the contrary to submission to God, rebellion against God. Instead of glorifying God in our lives, we will make others blaspheme the name of God by our walk. Will we allow this to happen? Brothers, let us feed the Spirit within us! Let Him take control of our lives!
