Proverbs 14:12 says:
"There are ways that seem straight to man, but that end up being paths of death"
We have all taken decisions that seem right to us, without asking our father to guide us and that it is his holy will that is imposed. When things do not happen as expected, we go out saying "Sir, what I have done to deserve this punishment, nothing I do is good". That is why we must admit that we need divine guidance, humbly recognize that God is the eternal companion that never forsakes us, because we are part of his flock. He knows our heart and thought perfectly, although, we consider ourselves self sufficient and trust in our own measures, God is there, hoping that our spiritual weaknesses will be strengthened in his name.
Deuteronomy 1: 32-33
But with all this, you did not trust the LORD your God, who went before you on the way to find you a place to camp, with fire by night and a cloud by day, to show you the way you should go.
Textually it is difficult, because we are accustomed to follow imposed conditions, shaped by man through social norms. However, if we allow ourselves to be led by spiritual need, it is easier to understand the specific plan that our Lord has for each one of us.
To recognize the blessings in our lives, is to give credit to their goodness, nothing in life happens randomly or by chance. God's plan is to clean the road we have to travel. That is why we should ask the Lord to indicate his plan and help us to be attentive and willing to listen to his instructions.
In Proverbs 3.5, 6 he tells us:
"Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and do not lean on your own prudence. Recognize Him in all your ways, and He will straighten your paths. "
To fulfill the will of God, it is necessary:
Ask him humbly for wisdom, knowledge and the necessary strength to avoid falling into temptation or the sin of death.
Pray always, as many times as necessary.
What we ask the Lord be for his honor and glory
Ask him to grow spiritually
Through the Bible he communicates his message to us, for which he invites us to read it not as a dead letter, to understand it or to seek help for its due explanation, in case the doubt invades him to ask for wisdom from all who give it
Key: to have present a living God in his heart and in his mind, for everything that is done, asked or desired, allowing the Lord, to fulfill his will in our life, is here, as God is going to put his wishes in the heart of whoever seeks it. Our conduct will be guided and blessed by the traveler of all times, the GOD OF JUSTICE OF TRUTH AND LOVE.
Psalm 25: 9
Direct the humble in justice, and teach the humble their way.
Everything we do we must consult and place ourselves in the hands of God, it is what guarantees that we fulfill the perfect will of God and can fulfill the purpose, otherwise we will lead a life of stumbling and without meaning. Thank you for sharing.

Many act without asking God for their guidance trusting in their human condition (cunning, ambition, others) to give credit to luck or any pagan god or force of the cosmos. the correct thing is to ask the creator, owner of our life, his due and timely guidance in everything we do and how you explain it "everything we do we must consult and put ourselves in the hands of God"Sorry for the lateness of the answer.
There is always enough space in the palace of God for us to have all our needs met. We need to constantly seek His guidance and lead people to Him.
That is correct, we must never stop listening to GOD, we will be lost if we do not accept his guidance. Sorry for the lateness of the answer
I can add that to receive the guidance and guidance of our God, is to see if what we want to do in good, nice and perfect, if it is something that does not harm anyone and if it is a collective blessing. Everything good is placed in the heart of man.
Sometimes we believe that we are right, and we do not seek the guidance of God, it is there where man moves away from wisdom and evil seems good. I believe as you say the good is in the heart that has allowed our Lord to dwell in it and know how to do what is "good, pleasant and perfect". Sorry for the lateness of the answer.
Is God leads whatever we do, we are are always victorious
