Sounds good but how do we keep it from becoming another denomination imposing its own ideas of who gets to call themselves Christian and be a part of the group. I do hope any attempts to draw up a Statement of Faith are not successful. I have never seen one that appreciates the great diversity that is in the body of Christ. Many reflect doctrines that were developed long after Jesus and the apostles died, yet they are considered to be the litmus test for "orthodoxy", such as the doctrine of the Trinity and Penal Substitution Atonement, both doctrines that did not exist in the earliest days of the church.
