“Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.” – Psalm 86:11.
The Ways of God are dynamic. The Ways of God are trustworthy and accurate. Furthermore, the Ways of God lead to peace and rest. Becoming too familiar with God leads to lack of sensitivity and direction. Never assume you know God too well, always depend on Him for direction. No child is wiser than the parent. Do not be misled by the enemy to make a wrong decision.
A man of God from Judah was deceived by someone to eat when God had told him not to eat at Bethel. “The old prophet answered, “I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the Lord: ‘Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water’ (but he was lying to him).” – 1 Kings 13:18, NIV.
In summary, the man of God died because of disobedience. Do not be misled, hear God before taking any step. It will save you in the long run. Concerning the Israelites, Jethro said to Moses in Exodus 18:20 ~ “And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.” Know God’s Ways and do it.
God shows His Ways to the man who fears and honours Him. Psalm 25:12 says, “What man is he that feareth the Lord? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.” Incline your ears to the Lord to be taught for there is always something new to learn. In anything we do, the approval of God is the most important thing (2 Corinthians 10:18).
