“Then Jesus said to her, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed at that moment.” – Matthew 15:28, NIV.
A Canaanite woman approached Jesus, asking for healing for her daughter who was demon-possessed. Jesus said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” The woman went and knelt before Him. “Lord, help me!” she said. He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table” (Matthew 15:24-27).
Nothing Jesus said moved the woman to give up her desire to get healing for her daughter. When desire persists, it gives birth to possibilities. The Canaanite woman kept pushing until her desire was granted. Faith is forceful. Matthew 11:12 (CEV) says, “From the time of John the Baptist until now, violent people have been trying to take over the kingdom of heaven by force.”
What is it that you are desiring? Have you given up? I want to encourage you to keep praying about it and believe God to see things turn around. Be violent in prayer like Hannah and contend for what is rightfully yours. Healing, prosperity, fruitfulness, and success are your portion. Don’t fold your hands and watch the devil mess up your life.
Do not be discouraged when things seem to be getting worse though you are praying. After every thunderstorm there is stillness. Persist in prayer, fight your way to victory. Overcome every evil hurdle or wall to divert your breakthrough. Until there is a manifestation of your heart desire, do not rest.
