Diligence is an effective principle for productive living, if you are ever going to make your life work; it's only going to be through diligence.
So diligence as a factor is the bedrock of productivity. God delights in his children being diligent, because His grace upon them can only produce results through diligence, hear Paul testimony
Text:1 Corinthians 15:10
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
The grace of God needs to be acted on to produce results. Some people talk about "favour without labour” that itself is a fallacy and deception. God's grace in your life could be in vain and frustrated if you don't labour with it.
“God's grace in your life can only produce results through diligence”
Here is the kind of labour that works; it is the labour of grace; where you take advantage of the grace of God to achieve a task. Notwithstanding, there is also another kind of labour that does not work, it is the labour of travail; where people sweat for everything. Unfortunately, most people have found their lot in such labour, especially God's children. David described this kind of labour I am talking about in these words;
Text:Psalm127:1-2
1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchmen waketh but in vain. 1 It is in vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrow: for so he giveth his beloved sleep
Working is not out of God's agenda, in fact, God set the precedence in the New Testament; making working compulsory.
Text:2 Thessalonians 3:10-12**
10 For even when we were with you, this we command you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
God wants you to work, because he has promised to bless the work of your hands and prosper you by it. So refuse to idle about, for God has ordained you unto productivity; so that your life will continually attest to his glory and praise.
As you seek to add diligence to your life through constructive discipline, focus and work, you will certainly gain the crown of mastery consistent with a Victor.
