STEEMCHURCH: GOD IS THE WAY OF SALVATION

in #steemchurch7 years ago

"Jesus said to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life; No one comes to the Father except through me "(John 14: 6).

"For whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined, he also called; and whom he called, he also justified; and whom he justified, he also glorified "(Romans 8: 29-30).
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish, but may have eternal life" (John 3:16).

"Who wants all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2: 4).

The Lord Jesus Christ voluntarily fulfilled the demand that the justice of God demanded so that each one has the possibility of continuing to travel, in this life, on the path of salvation. And precisely, the reason for his death was because the justice of God states that, for man to reach his very presence, both on earth and in heaven, he must be clean of all sin. Sin on the one hand, was acquired by inheritance and on the other, sins committed voluntarily by action or omission. In that condition of sinfulness, proper to human nature, it is impossible to move on; because nobody is exempt. Now, since sin is preventing it from attaining salvation, the next problem is how to be clean of all sin; Such a condition, which is not within the reach of any human being, no matter how hard it is proposed and whatever the means it may seek; be good works, having a religion or being baptized. The Lord God said: "Though you wash with lye, and gather soap on you, the stain of your sin will still remain before me ..." (Jeremiah 2: 22).
As has been appreciated, the path that God has provided for our salvation is simple and direct. It does not demand any kind of prerequisite to travel it. It does not ask that man have a certain religion, have been baptized or perform good deeds; He demands to be rid of all prejudice, to repent of all sin and to have the humility to recognize that it is impossible to achieve salvation by oneself.
