Today we will be treating anointing as it affects the lives of christians.

The Anointing is in different orders namely:

1. The Power of the First Order: This happens at new birth, the Holy Spirit come inside of you. As this time you receive power to become the adopted child of God.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name;

John 1:12

This level is the level of initiation into the realm of power.

2. The Power of the second order: This is the level where the Holy Spirit fall upon us. This is when you will receive power to receive the power of restoration. In Act 1:8

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be my witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

The power of the third order: This is the anointing experience in the form of showers of blessing. This is the realm of the combine operation of the first and second order.

Access of the anointing:

The anointing should not exclusively for a few individual. The anointing is avaliable to every child of God, you don't need to be an ordained as a pastor before you can access the anointing. There are some certain condition to be fulfilled before you can access the anointing:

Purity:

Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let everyone of you be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:38

Purity is a crucial step into the school of the anointing, sins blocks your access to the anointing.

Test for it:

You have to crave for . You need to thirst for the anointing.

O GOD, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.
So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and glory.
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You
Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.

Psalms 63:1-5

Prayer and fasting:

Anointing is not cheap. The mission of fasting is to enhance the release of power. Therefore, fasting is a spiritual divine exercise that draws down the anointing. This can be seen in Mattew 17:21

However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

Thanksgiving and praise:

When thanksgiving and praise is part of your lifestyle you will never lack access to the anointing , you can provoke the release of the anointing by praises.

Then they took away the stone from the place , where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard me.
John 11:41

The word encounter:

The word of God is a provoker for the power of God, the word of God when planted inside of you is ever flesh inside of you and grant you flesh access into the flesh anointing.
