And Elias approached all the people, and said: How long to stop between two thoughts? If the Lord is God, follow him; But if Baal, follow it. The town, however, did not answer anything. (1 RS 18:21)
No one can serve two masters; because either he has to hate one and love the other, or he has to dedicate himself to one and despise the other. You can not serve God and riches (Mt 6:24).
We know that in everything in our life we pass through elections. And elections are part of our life. Life is full of options. We choose from the clothes we are going to wear to the course we are going to do. Choose our relationships, our friendships, our spouse, etc.
Finally, life forms are made decisions and choices.
And what you are today is the consequence of the choices you have made in the past. This being the options that you make today, your future will also change.
For example, the fact of being reading this topic was a choice that you made. And also the question of continuing to read is a decision only yours.
I do not know what was your motivation in reading this text, but what I know is that the important thing is not the motivation to read that will make the difference for you, but it is your decision to practice what you read is what changes your life .
So also is the Word of God for the one who practices.
Many times we think, whether it is true or incorrect, it influences our choices. And how our decisions influence our life.
And the Scriptures in many of their texts relate examples of choices that changed lives and destinies. And through these examples we can also take some lessons for our own choices. Here are some examples of options:
- The election for sin of disobedience - From the beginning of humanity we see that the Lord gave us the free will to choose. But the Lord always directs us to obey his voice, because in the same way that He gave us the right choice, He also gives us the wisdom to be able to choose in the best way.
In Eden, the fathers of humanity were instructed by God to eat of every tree, but NOT to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil that was in the middle of the garden. (Gen 3: 3)
However, it was just that tree they ate, hearing the voice of the serpent (satan). In three affirmations of the serpent to Eve we see the induction of Satan.
In the first statement, he said:
"And so God said: Do not eat from every tree in the garden?" (Genesis 3: 1)
In the first statement we see the enemy "doubt" the word of God.
In the second statement, he said:
And the serpent said to the woman: "You will not die."
In this second statement he placed "DISTRUST" the divine ordinance and relieved the consequence of the transgression. The devil said: "If you eat, it is true that you will not die." (Gen. 3: 4)
Many times the trays that the enemy offers pretend to ludibriar and distrust God so that we do not obey
In the third statement he said that the enemy:
Because God knows that in the day you eat of it, then your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil (Genesis 3: 5).
In this affirmation the enemy sharpened the "CURIOSITY" of Eva, so that she sins. This is how the enemy still does it, he puts curiosity for the person to fall and with that he stops having communion with God.
We see in these three statements that the enemy through the serpent induced them to make the wrong choice. He caused them to sin by putting doubt, distrust and curiosity in them. Dear ones, there are basically 3 phases of temptation and sin that generate:
He doubts regarding the word of God to the suspicion in his promises to CURIOSITY of what hidden (hidden).
Through that, the Devil brought unbelief and disobedience to mankind.
I believe that the greatest sin we commit is when we do not believe in what the Lord says.
And that is what the enemy wants, that we do not believe in God, nor that we obey his commandments, so that our decisions are hasty and our ways are tortuous. The enemy knows that if we make wrong choices, that will influence our entire lives.
Dear ones, the Scriptures say that there is a way that seems right to man, but the end of it are the ways of death.
(Pv 14:12)
It also says that the wages of sin is death (Rm 6:23).
In spite of that, there is always a solution coming from God. The word of God says that "if we sin we have a lawyer before God (1 Jn 2: 1), but we should not use it as a rule, but as an exception, we should always try to do the right thing.
We must, therefore, understand the consequences of our choices. We can not stay on top of the wall when it comes to important elections. We have the free will to choose the best, although we always tend to choose evil and sin. We must decide on which side we should stay and know the consequences that this entails. We must decide which path we should follow and who we are going to serve.
For this is what the Scriptures say that he who is born of him does not live in sin, but he who abides in him is the divine seed.
He can not live sinning. He who lives sinning did not see it and did not know it.
And in that, those who are and those who are not Sons of God are manifested (1 Jn 3, 10).
God does not hear sinners and our transgressions separate between us and the Lord, but God's word says that if someone is willing to Him and does his will he hears (Jn 9:31, Is 59: 2).
The Lord bless.
The wisdom of God enables us to choose well. Thanks for sharing G.
