We hear a lot of talk about wisdom both in the world and from scriptures. The American Heritage Dictionary defines it as, "Understanding of what is true, right, or lasting; insight; common sense; good judgment; the sum of scholarly learning through the ages; knowledge; wise teachings of the ancient sages; a wise outlook, plan, or course of action."
The Bible describes different kinds of wisdom in James 3:15, 17:
This vvisdorn descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish...
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy andgoodfruits, withoutpartiality, and without hypocrisy. There is the earthly wisdom, the sensual, devilish and divine wisdom (wisdom from above). Earthly wisdom is the wisdom of this world, common sense or natural wisdom. Sensual wisdom is men's wisdom; and it centers on the senses. It's basically all about intellectual wisdom and stops at book knowledge. It includes all technological, scientific and intellectual efforts (1 Cor. 2:6). Devilish or diabolical Wisdom operates in the occult realm; it is the wisdom of the princes of this world, that is, satanic wisdom. It involves the manipulation of the mind through satanic influences.
Divine wisdom, on the other hand, is the wisdom that is from above; God's wisdom. Paul the apostle, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, said that all the wisdom of this world and devilish wisdom equals zero when compared with the inexhaustible virtues of the wisdom of God. This wisdom is available to all and sundry via salvation, unlike in occultic circles where there are various degrees of knowledge per time, and the things that are done are largely shrouded in mysteries.
Divine wisdom can be defined as knowing what to do, and doing it in order to get the desired result. It is knowing which way to go. Divine wisdom is knowing the scriptural way to go, the scriptural steps to take, and the scriptural things to do. It doesn't wait for solutions, but always creates solutions to problems, and has proofs.

Wisdom is not just a product of reasoning; rather, God's wisdom is released by reasoning with Him in the light of His word. "What does God say I should do?" you ask yourself. When you do what He says you should do, then you have committed God's integrity to confirm His Word in your life.
In Revelations 10:8-10, God's Word is portrayed as a bitter pill.
And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
It is the application of the bitter truth of God's Word that sweetens destinies. Until you are willing to swallow the bitter pill of the Word of God raw, you are not ready for enduring testimomes. No doctor can help you outside the prescription he has given you. If after giving you a prescription you refuse to take the medication as instructed, there's nothing else he can do to help you. In like manner, having the prescription of the Word of God is great. But how much of its truths are you applying to your life? The application of the bitter truths of scriptures is what culminates in testimonies. Not every truth is sweet, particularly in its application; but in the bitterness of the truth lies the greatness of your destiny. It is the bitterness •of the drugs that people take that result in their healing.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Proverbs 4:7
That means wisdom is the gateway to wfiatever provisions God has made for you and me in His kingdom. That is, the application of the truth that relates to such issues is what allows you access into the fullness of God's plan in that area. Jesus said, "This is God's wisdom: whosoever hears these sayings of mine and does them, the same is a soäse man. So, wisdom is not in hearing, teaching or preaching the Word of God; wisdom is in doing the Word of God. Doing what God says for you to do is what equals wisdom (Matt. 7:24-28).

The Source of Divine Wisdom
Just as everyman's wisdom is expressed in his words, God's Word is equally an expression of His wisdom. God's Word is the source of divine wisdom; it's His wisdom bank. In His
Words are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Col. 2:3). Wisdom for enjoying a successful family life, buoyant business and academic excellence are all available in the Word. The knowledge of the truth makes wise unto freedom and enthronement, and it comes by an encounter with the knowledge of God and His Son, Jesus. The correct application of this knowledge is what is called wisdom. The instructions contained in the Bible are the highest forms of instructions in all human affairs. Whatever is declared in it is superior to any circumstance on earth. No wonder the Psalmist said: Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. ( Psalm 119:98)
The Bible makes one wise. Paul said to Timothy:
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:15)
The Bible is God's wisdom packaged in book form; it is the original wisdom bank that covers all areas of life. This wisdom is the key to exploits and excellence, and guarantees rest round about. Hearing God's Word and doing it makes you a wise man. By the wisdom of God, you are able to control the goings on in this world -- life, death, things present and things to come. You are able to regulate and monitor your future. The wisdom of this world can't handle all that. Side by side with the wisdom of God, the wisdom of this world is foolishness. For instance, the wisdom of this world cannot handle the future; neither can it handle death — which makes every mortal man shiver. Job 28:22 tells us that, "Destruction and death say, we have heard the fame (of God's wisdom) with our ears. " From today, by your application of divine wisdom, not even death will be able to resist you any longer, in Jesus' name!
The wisdom of God cannot be gotten from Magazines or any other media but, from GOD's Word.
That's why we ourselves should take out time to study and mediate on the scriptures, then we will have His wisdom to take charge of our lives and future.
One main statement will dominate the next several minutes in my speaking. I call you to let it take hold in your thoughts first, and then, by the Holy Spirit's enabling, in your heart as well. The statement is simple and deep: God is infinitely uncertaiant to unpack that for a moment and then we will see that flowing from that truth is a perspective-shaping, comfort-giving, anxiety-killing, prayer-inducing implication that will revolutionize your life if you will take it as you own.
Let me start with a definition: "Wisdom," in the Bible, "is knowing the greatest goal in any situation, and the best way to achieve that goal." (Sermon by John Piper, "The Great Work of the Only Wise God", based on Romans 16:25-27) Wisdom sees the big picture, in focus, each part in its proper relationship to rest. Wisdom is different from knowledge. You can have knowledge without wisdom. There are a lot of brilliant fools. But you cannot have wisdom without knowledge, because in order to discern the best way to achieve a goal, you have to be able to integrate, to fuse together all kinds of factors from various sources of knowledge and experience.
Now, take up this attribute and think about God. And while you're connecting those dots, listen to the psalmist say of God, "His understanding is infinite" (Ps. 147:5). Listen to Jeremiah pray to the "great and mighty God whose name is the Lord of Hosts, the One great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are on all the ways of the sons of men in order to give to each person according to his ways and the result of his deeds." (Jeremiah 32:19).
When Daniel described God's wisdom, he wrote, "He changes the times and seasons; He removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals the deep and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him." (Dan. 2:21-22) Nothing's ever a mystery to God. He is never puzzled or confused or uncertain.
Paul tries to talk about the wisdom of God, and when he does, it moves to praise: "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments and untraceable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor? Or who has ever first given to Him, and has to be repaid? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen." (Rom. 11:33-36)
There is a difference between “earthly wisdom” and the “wisdom that comes from above” (James 3:14–18). To tap into God’s wisdom, we must, first of all, desire it and ask God for it. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” (James 1:5).
We acknowledge that true wisdom comes from God and that Jesus Christ is the embodiment of that wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30). To trust in Christ and yield to His Holy Spirit is to walk in wisdom; as Christians, “we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16).

Bless you dear
Great topical study on Wisdom! I especially liked!
God has proven this promise so many times I cannot count.
Thank you for sharing the truth of God’s Word.

God is the primordial source of all wisdom, for his teachings "are the source of wisdom, and it teaches us to obey his eternal commandments" (Ecclesiasticus, I: 5). Furthermore, God is omniscient: he knows everything, he knows everything, and only in Him are all the secrets of wisdom. On the other hand, another type of wisdom recognized in the biblical text is that attributed to King Solomon, son of King David, who came to rule for four decades in Israel, and whose wisdom was famous in antiquity.
The principle of wisdom is the fear of God. very good post sister
This is an article every parishioner should read. Divine wisdom of God cannot be acquired by reading mere books. Professors still wonder the ways of God while uneducated Christians bask in the freedom through the wisdom of God. The Word of God in us is what makes the difference.
Take our dear Knight for example, he handles numerous activities and yet with the wisdom of God, delegates duties to the Apostles who handle things perfectly.
Thank you for this article dear Evadiva
Yes you are right. Wisdom comes from God and God alone. If e need the wisdom of God, we need to follow his words. God words is perfect. The bible says the fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Thanka for sharing this post.
Wisdom comes from God, his word says that the principle of wisdom is the fear of God, but not fear but reverence obedience and respect
Wisdom was clearly explained in the book of proverbs it is simply the application of knowledge "philosophical definition".
In the scriptures wisdom is the principal thing or it is termed as the core thing we are admonished to get wisdom and with all our getting we should also get understanding.
You may know this before but let it serve as a reminder that without knowledge I don't think there can be any wisdom.
Knowledge is the gathering of facts and information and it is just like acquiring education the application of that education in real life case scenarios is what is termed as wisdom.
Understanding is knowing how to manipulate that wisdom in any situation or any of the look of things it is important that we have understanding because it worketh patience and perseverance and the patient dog eats the fattest bone.
Wisdom is the ability to make decisions that will protect the good interests of everyone involved. And true wisdom comes from the Lord. I have mentioned before that having wisdom will attract other good things because decisions will be made for the acquisition of the other good things. In the Bible when Solomon asked for wisdom to rule his people, God was pleased with his choice and blessed him with wealth and a lot more

What a great write-up on a principal subject; Wisdom.
Sincerely, as believers, wisdom is the ability of one to skillfully apply God's word appropriately and accordingly, through the help of His Spirit.

Thanks for sharing @evadiva.
Kind regards.
Astuteness isn't decide by the age of a man.
Learning is the social affair of actualities and data and it is much the same as securing training the utilization of that instruction, all things considered, case situations is what is named as intelligence.
Understanding is knowing how to control that insight in any circumstance or any of the look of things it is vital that we have understanding since it worksheet persistence and diligence and the patient canine eats the fattest bone. Thanks for sharing with Us! @evadiva.
