Jesus made an unusual and confusing declaration in the Book of Luke; But I Tell You Truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God. Luke 9:27
He told people that some of them will see the kingdom of God during their life on earth.
If I was able to understand a lot of passages from the Bible, I was unable to understand this passage, it was confusing and I meditated on it.
You see, it’s been already two thousand years since Jesus ascended to Heaven.
Those who heard this statement are already dead, what did Jesus have in His mind when he said that some people would not see death, until they experienced the kingdom of God?
My understanding was that the kingdom of God was in heaven or would come at the end of this world and Jesus would come with His angels and take us along to the heaven.
And all of a sudden, Jesus is saying that some will not see death, until they see the Kingdom Of God. The fact is that when Jesus speaks, we need to understand the point and the essence of His Word spoken to us.
You see, I thought that when Jesus said that we would not die until we saw the kingdom of God, it meant the end of the world or the time when Jesus comes for back for His Church.
However, Jesus was speaking to the Pharisees (who thought they knew what the Kingdom Of God was). Jesus said that the kingdom of God would not be seen physically and it would not come as man thought it would.
The Pharisees thought that Jesus the Messiah would come to build a big kingdom in Israel, like the Roman Empire which would be called the Kingdom Of God, and that the capital of this kingdom would be Jerusalem.
They thought that the jews would exercise dominion over the whole world, But Jesus told them that the kingdom of God would not come their way.
When Jesus said these words, the Pharisees and His disciples heard Him. It seems to me that Jesus Christ was telling only the disciples, who had accepted him and lived with him that the kingdom of God was within them.
It says in the Bible, that no matter where Jesus appeared, no matter where he went, the Kingdom of God was manifested there.
There is serious need to manifesting the kingdom of God
This will help

Our Lord Jesus Christ is our mentor and we must always imitate him because no matter where Jesus appeared, no matter where he went, the Kingdom of God was manifested there.
