Text: II Corinthians 2: 12-15
Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door
was opened unto me of the Lord,
I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but
taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and
maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and
in them that perish:
Godliness and indeed the Christian life have striking similarities with different things of this world, which we will make us to understand am appreciate it better. The above text shows Christians as fragrance Of the knowledge of Christ. Fragrance or perfumes are widely used in the world today to give nice and appealing odour and to suppress or remove unpleasant odours. It is also possible that one may be known for wearing a particular type of perfume and you can tell even they had gone that so and so person had been here.
Christians are the fragrance of Christ. Our presence in a place is or should always be easily noticed. People are always eager to hear our views different issues. Our love to others, kindness, joy of salvation, peacefll living, godly life, all should spread our fast and liven up anywhere weare The knowledge of Christ as the reason and cornerstone for the life welive must also be revealed and manifested. Our presence should suppressal forms of ungodliness.
We should try to stir and cheer up souls. Offer support and succor to the distress, help and relief to the needy; such that even after we have gone, traces or fragrance of our work can still be felt and noticed. The important thing is to be willing, God Himself through Christ will always lead us to such triumphant life and diffuse through us the fragrance of His knowledge.
