The fruit of our faith

Hello esteemians, dear greetings, I want to share this small but very important message for our lives, welcome to my blog.

It can not be stressed enough that we are in sin and can not save ourselves through any effort on our part. Our works do not add anything to what Christ has done; we are simply called to repent and believe in Him. If someone truly believes in this, however, it will be necessary to change the way he lives. You can not absolutely believe in the gospel and continue to live the way you did before.

To revere Jesus as Lord and to believe in Him completely as Savior changes everything. Even more, if the Spirit of God is in us, that makes a real and true difference. Because of this, the life of a true believer will be characterized by obedience to Christ and forgiveness of others.

Once again, this is not about works that save us, rather works that flow to truly believe the gospel and be inhabited by the Holy Spirit of God. This is not part of our salvation, rather it is evidence of our salvation. It is the fruit of saving faith. The root is always and only the grace of God in Jesus Christ. Understanding this, the Scriptures tell us:

• "This is the message we have heard from Him and we announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin "(1 John 1: 5-7).

• "And the works of the flesh are evident, which are: fornication, impurity, lasciviousness, idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, anger, rivalry, dissension, heresy, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; on which I admonish you beforehand, as I said before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy and peace; patience, kindness and kindness; fidelity, 23 meekness and temperance; against such things, there is no law. 24 For those who are Messiah's crucified the flesh with the passions and desires "(Galatians 5: 19-24).

• "If anyone supposes to be religious, not restraining his tongue, but deceiving his heart, his religion is vain. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: To visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself from the blemish of the world "(James 1: 26-27).

• "If you love me, you will keep my commandments" (John 14:15).

So I conclude:

If we really have fellowship with God, if we really walk in the spirit with the Holy Spirit, if we really belong to Christ, if our religion is really pure and immaculate, and if we really love Jesus, our lives will show this through our obedience.
