VISION AND PASSION

Through teaching we have worked to produce strong convictions and firm values.
It has not been easy to bring these convictions to become the deepest longings of the soul.
In discipleship we have to work not only to have trained people but to produce passionate people.

How do you work a heart (our heart) to reach attitudes like these?

2 Corinthians 12:15 With pleasure I will spend mine, I will spend myself entirely for love of your souls.

There is no doubt that we have to learn something.

There is something in the vision of the apostle that we must seek.

To arrive at this statement there is a revelation that we have to reach.

There is a work for eternal wealth that reaches a much greater dimension than working for the things of the earth.

There is a sublime awareness of the value of God's call.

Matthew 6: 19-20 Do not make yourselves treasures on the earth, where the moth and the urine corrupt, and where thieves mine and steal; but make yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither the moth nor the urine corrupts, and where thieves do not mine or steal.

John 6:27 Work, not for the food that perishes, but for the food that remains eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.

10.3.1 - WE BE CAREFUL TO KEEP OUR PASSION ON

We might think that the first thing we have to take care of regarding our passion is that other things do not take the place of passion for the Lord and it is certainly a serious problem.

But in the reality we live today, there is a greater danger.

We have to take care of the spirit of apathy, of the passive spirit.

Watcham Nee said that a spirit must be kept active, ministering, serving, etc. so as not to fall into a spirit of apathy or passivity that is then transformed into a religious spirit of warmth and hypocrisy.

Take the example of David, from whom we have many examples of his passion for God. Being young, while others trembled, David was soon and eager to face Goliath. David is an example of one whom God chooses, whose passions for God sustained him for most of his life.

Even so, David also provides an example of what happens to good people by becoming passive when they should be fighting. Well, there was an occasion when David was not behind his enemies and the consequences were serious. It happened because he allowed a spirit of passivity to dominate his will. 2 Samuel 11: 1-6

We have to be aware that a form of opposition to the vision's development is

attack our passion with apathy or other passions that weaken our passion for God.

10.3.2 The power of God is dynamis

That word implies action, movement (dynamic), motor (dynamo) that pushes us

The power of God is an engine that pushes us into action.

It's no use starting the engine, it's a matter of starting the engine and putting it into motion.

The word communicates a spiritual burden that pushes us into action.

It becomes passion and fire.

I have to learn to minister that passion, that spiritual burden that pushes to look for something that I don't have.
