RE: Returning to training after injury

in #steembjj7 years ago

You have inspired me to throw up a post about my injury. The real one and not the multitude of tiny ones I ignore to the benefit and detriment of my BJJ.

For me, not being in my 20s anymore (BY A FRIGGIN LONGSHOT!) means whenever I am gone for a couple weeks on business or sickness or injury, I come back dealing with whatever kept me out as well as tight hamstrings/hips, and whatever crap built up in my lungs due to seasonal allergies and the occasional joint.

I tend to go back to the basics. Breathing. Finding positions where I can get a bit of control and recover a little. Survive and tap often.

Welcome back, take it easy and enjoy the time where you are learning (rather than winning!)
