This not ok! I will flag your coment just to hide it because it is not good for the auction. Hope you do not have any problem with that and next time try to coment more friendly if you want to make your point (point that here is complete wrong btw) If not please ... Just don't.
start 1.1
1: There is a men's and a woman's version. This one has a big face as it's intended for men.
2: I pay you $20 to get me this watch. Can your honor please send me a link with the claimed price?
3: Seller DOES have this watch in their possession. And will be shipped with USPS after getting paid. (But even if not it's non of your business)
4: It's very not nice of you to do that on someone's post. I believe that you will not like that someone else should do this to you. With such ugly behaviour you will get rejected wherever you go.
Hey you have to accept criticism. From his perspective, he is actually exercising due diligence and is also looking out for other users. Showing that the watch costs only a few dollars says a lot of the quality and this is something that people need to be aware of also.
Aren't YOU the seller? Or will this be a drop shipment? You really have to clarify all this. Your trustworthiness is at risk when you don't. You will also hurt the reputation of the Steembay initiative. The idea of selling with SBD has potential but it can very easily be infiltrated by bad actors.
Personally I believe anyone selling first needs to be verified in some way. They also should meet a requirement such as x amount of posts, rep, wallet funds in order to offer insurance for the buyer.
Before you post you should read not only the critic but also my reply, instead of duplicating someone elses questions.
Accepting critic is one thing, but when the critic is misleading it's a different thing. Using 1)China prices for 2)bulk buying 3)without including shipping from 4)one site as the normal retail priceon multiple sites, is a bad behavior and only shows how that person need some attention and wants to show off his talents.
Anything you buy today in the USA, you can getin China for at least half the price.
You have made an acceptable point and I actually restructured my comment while you were replying in order to avoid that repetition. You still have not answered the questions that matter though. You are just getting very defensive.
By your own statements. The fact that forgery exists should then influence you to provide something for the buyer to give your listing authenticity of quality.
Please also refrain from the defense mechanisms. This is obviously a new initiative. It is now public though. Thus criticism must be accepted equally with the praise. The initiators of the project should have implemented some guidelines to eliminate negative use. That's where this questioning will hopefully lead to.
YES, we are all here on steemit on good faith believing that everyone here is good and can be trusted. Reality is however, not that simply.
I'm not new here on Steemit. I made already a few contests where I paid for the winners.

Currently there is no mechanism implented in Steembay so it's built on trust. Whoever doesn't trust me it's up to him. I didn't get a (50) rank just to lose it for 1 auction. This is the first auction and if it works out I plan to make more.
This guy puts down "facts" he doesn't ask anything, just telling you how stupid you are to participate in this auction and than with the punchline:
that's horrible.
I don't care much about the watch. I can sell it at a different venue, it just bothers me that people go out of their way to destroy someone elses business.
You still didn't answer the questions regarding your listing. The nature of the internet also means that even ned himself, could be seen as a bad actor. That is the whole reason for the blockchain. It aims to eliminate that. Only for the data though.
Transactions are still made by human, between humans. There needs to be implementations with initiatives such as this to rule out as much foul play as possible. There is no such assurance for a buyer. Whether I trust you or not is not the issue. The system is where the trust factor must exist.
@funatoz has questioned this on the original post and received a rather simple and troubling reply:
That's essentially saying, if you get ripped off, it's your problem to deal with. Hardly a solution when no one is obligated to place any identifying information on the blackchain. Thus such methods of recouping lost funds would lead no where.
You need to also stop seeing it as a personal attack.
When we question the issues with steemit.. are we trying to destroy their business? No. It's about finding issues which could do with some improving.
that sentence says it all , how short and horrible written. Longer than that it dous not have to be, flagging of would be very wrong, because this is in children shoes. <But with all your respect i do think you should take his reply in your heart. I think selling here on steemit needs to be more than just present something and than thinking people will believe you speak the thruth because your rate is high.
I hope you really do not see it as bad critic. On fb I moderate a few antiques groups. We want people to write what it is, the material, the brand , the weight, where else promoted etcetera, all you know about the subject, the more you can tell the better the sell! Now for me it is not good at all living in europe it does not get send to here... :-) Much luck whit your sell !
You are right. Your critic in place. I'm not a good writer, especially descriptions, but I should have written more.
If you have it in your possession it would be common sense to show it's condition/the box so people can trust you and assess its state for themselves. If you just post pictures you grabbed off of any number of wholesale sites you are inviting suspicion.
If I was selling something cheap/shady (or if someone was selling me something cheap) I would want to know more about it/other places it is sold. It's not a matter of being nice to the seller, it's about being a cautious and safe consumer.
And it looks like you are right, there is a mens version.
The price there is without shipping. The price for 1 piece is $10.45 + $5.05 and the stock is in China. That means you will get it not before 3 weeks+. Every item in USA you can find cheaper in China because stocking items costs more than to order directly.
The reason I don't put an original picture is, because the watch is wrapped with plastic it's wrapped with plastic to protect the watch and I don't want to remove it. Takin a picture with the plastic will not show you anything.
I urge you to go to Amazon and every item you find cheaper on DHgate you should place a review with your conclusion "Just don't."
And yes, please find me this item in USA and I will pay you $20. You can make $13 profit...
You're entirely right. I am sorry for jumping to conclusions. At first glance and without inquiry your auction looked very shady/lacking basic information, it was my fault for not only neglecting to request more information, but for doing far too little research and ignoring prudent information to intentionally further my point. I not only put too little importance into the platform I was speaking on, in doing so I attempted to call into question your credibility and hurt my own. I am ashamed of my actions and will strive to be more cautious and fair when using similar mediums for exchange.
