Interesting point.
But I have a question for you.
Would you rather have people dying by doing drugs?(the person who is doing drugs has full control over his/her situation and is responsible for his/her actions as they have a choice to live a better life but they have made this wrong choice to do drugs) or would you have people dying of poverty ?( the person who is dying in this case doesn't really have much of a choice. No food, no money to pay for health care , absolutely helpless)
I'd rather have people in control of their lives and then making the right/wrong choices than having people in a situation where they can't really do anything about it.
