Paintception! A painting I did inspired by a painting I did, inspired by a painting I did

When I get asked to do custom art, sometimes people ask me to recreate a painting I've already done. Although I COULD recreate one exactly the same, I prefer not to, each one is unique like a snowflake. That being said, I can create one inspired by a painting I've already done, and give it it's own unique vibe.

In this case it was like the movie "Inception" - a painting that inspired a second painting that inspired a 3rd painting. The first one I did was this one, a custom for a patron who asked me for something more minimalist, modern and a bit less "psychedelic" than most of my art.

"Modern Mandala" - 8 x 8 inches, acrylic on stretched canvas

Then when I posted it on social media, another patron asked me to create a much bigger one with a similar vibe, but with a red background in the big squares. He asked me give it an "evil authoritarian" type of vibe, and to make sure to include what he called the "claw mark" type pattern of 3 lines in the corners like the first one had.

Then I had another patron ask me to create a 12 x 12 inch one inspired by "Silent Rage". For this one she wasn't too picky about the details, she said she just wanted to see what another similar one to these could end up like. How different could it be? As you can see it's similar, but different. Since creating the pattern was sort of a "deja vu" for me from having just created "Silent Rage" I gave it a name that was a play on words
