I'm currently brainstorming about the future for SteemApps.com and I'm very much interested in your input.
If you've got some ideas that you would like to have implemented or other thoughts, please let me know in the comments.
Thank you!
100% of this post's rewards are going to @steemonboarding via beneficiaries.
I really like your site.
I would find it even more useful if there was a way to see or even sort on how much an app is taking from a users reward.
"Free" apps would get more exposure and users would actually have a voice in how apps are funded.
I dont mind sharing a large % of my reward with a very useful app, but im not motivated in usging an app not knowing HOW im contributing to the development and success of it.

Great idea! Showing benefactor reward is important.
Yes, i think transparency when it comes to funding the development and the business model of an app is also very important. I think/hope that most users would prefer to share their Steem rewards with the app creators, instead of getting data mined or watch ads like most "free" apps fund their business.

I like the simplicity of that site. Not sure if you still wanna keep it that simple, but it'd be great if it's a place where people can flip between dapps easily to experience right away, along with some other stuff. Wrote about the idea before: https://steemit.com/idea/@kevinwong/blocksurf-your-gateway-into-the-new-world-economy Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks again for posting our app (cXc Music)
I like the simplicity of steemapps. I havent used the API, but I know that stateofthedapps uses it, so I think its pretty good too.
Some little suggestions: Make it so that when posting your app to the steemapps you get an email that tells you it is being processed. Stateofdapps does this. I think I submitted three times to be sure ha ha. Also for updates.
Also there seems to be forced capitalization of the first letter of the app name. Our app name is cXc Music, but got changed to CXc Music.
Thanks for everything!!
Would it be crazy to put totals at the top or bottom?
And maybe a section to add in the discord server of the apps if they have them?
Yes, social data is something I still want to add.
What do you mean with total? Total amount of data for the apps?
Yeah, I really a mean a total for each column... so we could see the total amount of users using the Steem blockchain, etc...(Obviously lots of people use multiple apps in a day, but still...)
I think we need some colorful, but limited advertisements for the best apps on the left side of the screen. Also, I'm going to vote for you as witness if you answer this one question: What price are you going to wait for before you decide to sell some Steem? I'm trying my best to hodl all my current SP, but it can be tough at times. I personally see Steem as a potential competitor to Tron in the future if we can get the word out. Steem is also very fast and free, has the capacity to run a lots of Dapps and probably has better security features than Tron. This is just my opinion though, let me know if you disagree.
Left side of the screen? Do you mean where the rank is, as a row?
First off, I will keep Steem as long as possible in the powered up state. And I honestly don't have a real price target. Right now, I'm not powering anything down and am planning with that in mind. However, I will pay for witness servers & co. in advance as soon as the price is more in the region or 2$-4$ (That's something I've learned from the past)
Regarding TRON, I don't really look into other platforms. They all are very similar but of course totally different. Steem has a lot of potentials, it's just a matter of making sure the inflation gets used the correct way and to have a better image than right now, as people still believe Steemit = Steem. That's something I'm working on with SteemApps.
Thanks for the interesting question!
I guess it could be either side of the screen, it doesn't really matter. Yes, I meant on the left beside the rank down the page. I wouldn't have a problem seeing ads for these apps there.
I still believe Steem will return to at least $1 in the next few months hopefully, and potentially in the $8 range again in the next few years, so I'm holding for the most part. It's good to know that you prioritize keeping the servers up and running. When Steem went down for a few days after HF20, I had a minor heart attack, lol.
I have one more question for you actually regarding Steemit. Does Steemit hold our Steem or is our Steem still being stored on the blockchain? Basically, how secure is our Steem that we hold onto? I've never used anything besides Steemit so far, but I plan on playing some Steem Monsters soon.
I will be placing my vote for you as a witness in the next few minutes. Done.
Appreciate the vote!
Regarding the question, Steemit is just an interface for Steem. Everything related to data is stored on Steem and the witnesses (incl. myself) are responsible for keeping them secure.
I like the site the way it is! It gives us a nice overview of Steem Apps, but I hope people will give you some ideas for new features.
I think steem apps has to become like coinmarketcap but for steem. As in, when SMTs are released show the prices of coins etc, as well as users.
Add dporn to the list ;) and also historic data would be interesting :)
We need something like Gawkbox here, could even pay in crypto. #future #cryptocurrency #progress
You mean on SteemApps.com?
my bad, thought you meant what other apps would be good for steemit, not your website.
Another set of information: open source or not, if so - last commit date
