One of my memories is when I was about 10 years old, in my country we have a tradition that the child Jesus brings gifts to children (I do not know how he does but because he is a child, haha) always sent us to sleep half an hour before 12 a.m. so that when The adults shouted that the baby Jesus had arrived and up us to open the presents. I always remember my mom's voice screaming, "Baby Jesus is here!" And we all ran to the living room of my grandmother's house to open the gifts and play with them as a family.
