Cyberpunk 2077 is the most anticipated game this year that came from the developer of The Witcher series, CD Projekt Red. Well, there is the latest information coming from the UI Director, Alvin Liu.
Reported by Tech Radar, he said that this game was prioritized for the console platform first.
When Liu was asked about the challenge of optimizing Cyberpunk 2077 for the console platform, he replied, "It's actually not too difficult considering we have a very adaptive engine, namely RED Engine.
"Actually we prioritized the console platform and it did look amazing after we tried it. Indeed if you use an expensive PC it will look even better, but Cyberpunk 2077 graphics on consoles and regular PCs are quite stunning, "he continued.
This information is not so surprising considering that CD Projekt Red wants to focus Cyberpunk 2077 for next-gen consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Project Scarlett. In an interview with VF247 last year, CD Projekt Red also said that Cyberpunk 2077 can be played on platforms in the future.
"Indeed, the next-gen platform has not been officially announced, so we can only speculate," said Adam Kiciński, President of CD Projekt Red.
"But when viewed from the technology side, Cyberpunk 2077 can already be regarded as a game that is compatible with the next generation platform," he continued.
Liu also said Cyberpunk 2077 will be a cross-generation game that will be released for this generation of consoles and next-gen consoles. For now, Cyberpunk 2077 is the only game that dares to be declared a cross-generation game.
This game will be released officially for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 16, 2020.
