/r/CryptoCurrency is full of people shilling their favorite coins like Nano or SUB. Steem should be a blogging platform with quality content but there are now more shilling posts than on Reddit.
The first thing newcomers see is the trending page. It was/is already full of shitty bid bot upvoted posts. This was bad enough alone but now everybody tries to pump up either Steem or EOS. This website has become a fan club for @ned & @dan.
Please STOP IT NOW! Steem/Steemit won't be taken seriously by the crypto community, average internet users and its competitors if we continue to live in our own bubble!
These shilling posts even got upvoted into heaven... just look at their payout!
Both posts were of a really high quality but the reward is just too high and too be serious who ever believes that Steem will ever overtake Bitcoin is just ridiculously stupid!!!
If Steem would reach the same market cap as Bitcoin today one Steem would be priced at $656.
The @steemit account would be worth more than $35.000.000.000.
With the same account creation fee as today it would cost nearly $2000 to create a new account!
So, please stop the shilling and let's create a platform together that will be known for its
QUALITY
What should have been shilled was Byteball, but it was kept a secret.
Steemit deserves shilling, but steemit is not the best place for shilling it.
Personally I joined it after Gregory Mannarino lightly shilled for it on his Youtube channel.
I amnot shilling for him, I just stated the truth of whom and where I heard about steemit from.
It shows that once in a while, good things can come even out of Gregory Mannarino.
I feel like I already missed on EOS, and IDK what the hype is about, but then I still have a lot to learn and I also know that dan has good ideas, which he serially quits before he finishes them.
I will not be surprised if EOS will suffer the same fate as Bitshares and Steem.

Apart from this, there are often Steemit politics posts getting into the Trending page. All about reward pool "rape" and someone getting too much reward.
