The main idea is sound, but I disagree with the farming analogy

The time between planting and harvesting is short. It's only seven days from the time you post until pay-out.

7 days to harvest is much more like growing bean sprouts.

I prefer to write long, thoughtful posts that will have value years from now, but the Steem sprout eaters have no use for year-old sprouts. I wish there was some way of attracting longterm eyeballs (and secondary payouts) with evergreen content.

I plunked down US$40 to buy SP when I started, but after over half a year, my vote is still only worth 0.01 and it rapidly reverts to zero. I have very little cash to work with.
