be careful what you put on it
Steem is a blockchain-based social media platform. Thats why the content never will be lost.
I hope that you are all aware off this.
You can ruin lives be posting bullshit.
The Internet or the Blockchain never forgets, so be careful what you put on it!
This is no different from facebook or twitter or snapchat though. Any content you create and let someone else see is permanent, and may be used against you.
Nothing is really permanent though. Does not matter it's centralized or decentralized. FB, twitter could be wiped off after 10 years. So does the steem network or even the bitcoin. dApp is a double-edge sword.
On the other hand, it's public knowledge, which may be of benefit to all, not just those who control the servers.
Just wondering if the posts get more and more, will it be a problem for the node to download all of them?
Maybe to adopt other storage sharing platform such as IPFS is way to go.
Already planned.
