RE: 5 Things Pointing to an Incredible 2018 for Steem!

What great news for those getting $100 payouts!

The median payout, unfortunately, is $.01, 10,000 times less than $100. The median is the payout the largest percentage of people actually receive. I think that is a better metric for measuring Steemit's success.

How many $100 payouts have you received?

Sort:

Yup, median numbers not outliers should be the base metric.

Yes! This! As long as the little ones don't get enough incentive to actually stay (and get their friends of Facebook onto Steemit) the succes is quite relative :-)

None, because it takes a lot of work....

I have been on steemit for about a month and the only way my posts have been getting worth: Bid bots....

I hate it.... But, when i finally get a following for my posts. The bots can stop and my friends will be the ones to reward me for my content.

New saying "give a man some steem, he will power up a small bit. Teach a man to properly steemit, he will power up to spread the wealth" yeah needs work....

But, if we can welcome new members like family (giving votes, comments to help and what not) they will bring their family and friends to make this platform even better. In the end causing everything to get higher in price and even more people interested in SMT's.

I'm new too and I think your idea is right, also this still is a beta platform, so is room for everyone!

"...it takes a lot of work..."

No, it doesn't. It doesn't matter at all what work you do.

It only matters who upvotes you, and whether some of the wrong people downvote you.

I know, because I have received a $100 payout. It was not my best post. I didn't work harder at it, or buy more botvotes.

It was a gift.

@haejin is the best example of how the platform works I have seen. He's even redefining how it works, by actually forming a coalition to oppose his opposition.

He reminds me of John DeLorean, bucking the system.

I wish him better success.
