I just wrote on this same topic and made some points related to data. One thing I am clear about is that I have debunked the claims made by every single commenter I have seen so far (possibly including me too) who claims to be sure about something. However, it should be possible to get an absolutely concrete understanding of all of this if the data were being properly analysed. There's clearly room for an 'overview' app of the whole economic system.
