It seems like Poloniex re-enabled STEEM/SBD transfers about 12h after my last post, Big thanks to everyone that helped in the background!
Warning, I tested sending SBD and they were not credited to my Poloniex account now +12h later.
This might be temporary, will monitor and update this post as there is progress.

Can confirm. Sent 1SBD to Poloniex 14 hours ago and still nothing. To top it up now BTS is disabled and I hold some there in Poloniex. sigh

This was a terrible experience. Many users decided to switch exchange. It would be great if there would be any (legitimate) decentralized exchange. Any recommendations ?
you can try bitsquare ( https://bitsquare.io/ ) is under eavry development, but is promising.
I dont want to be a exchange beta tester, I want an exchange I can rely on always 100%.

They're a bit rough right now, but I think they plan to really put the DEX model into play, once they finish some updates.
They sold some shares, and other products, and are using the funds to hire developers to continue production of a more finished product. I think they're having a logo contest right here on Steemit. It's still going if you look for their account @tradeqwik.

Thanks for the update! I just withdrew some steem from Polo and everything worked like it should and i had the steem in my wallet after minutes.

So lucky I took everyone's advice, and used Bittrex instead of Polo, very tempting due to the Pump & Dump Groups on Telegram everyday. Blocktrades is a great alternative, not account needed, no passport or id check, just trade.
you can tell what is taking a serious dip based on which wallet they disable lol

Yeah, I have 2 deposits that are not reflecting as well for SBD.
I send 15 SBD to @poloniex and it is yet to reflect on my account with them. I am going to hate @poloniex for this mess.

Poloniex definitely for the birds - changed to Bittrex and couldn't be happier with the amount of coins to trade and ease of trading / mobile needs a little work but the graphing capabilities are amazing! #bittrex #crypto #upvote

I think there is still something wrong with the system since I tried to trade to Poloniex after they reported the wallets were back up but the transaction hasn't went through.
I hope everything is resolved.

I m also facing the same problem. I had some SBD in Bittrex but as the BTC/SBD rate was better in Poloniex. I transferred 15 SBD to Poloniex. I also didn't not receive it in my Poloniex account. I have rasied a ticket but received an auto response

I did a small 10 Steem deposit as a test and did not receive my funds....
I transferred 10 SBD to poloniex 8 hours ago and it's still not showing!!! :[
Luckily, I withdraw from Polo only. I guess we need regular updates in steemit if deposit work in major exchanges. Do you all try #Bitshares?
It's good that I'm dealing only with the Bittrick exchange. I do not trust Poloniex.

I've tested it with my SBD as well and it is not yet working. I contacted Polo once again to ask for more info, but as usual, they either will be silent or tell nothing. However, I believe they will credit all Steem/SBD to their wallets in not time now. It was about time... Steem needs to grow now. Also, there is a nice arbitrage on SBD in Polo for the ones who are fast to act.
What about WITHDRAWALS ?!
Plan to do that but do not wish to risk to lose $1000

I sent 500 Steem to poloniex yesterday since I had no idea about their issues. They are still neither displayed on polo nor refunded. I hope I don't lose them forever! Thanks for making the info available to a wider audience.

Low liquidity on Bittrex make a big difference.
Ah right I see; it's high enough for me, which is why I've never noticed. Shame, I wish more people would switch to it, because it seems like they're stable and trustworthy :-)
