There are lots of coins claiming they are the end of bitcoin.
EOS is great, but Steem aint going anywhere.
When you realise what STEEM stands for
S - Steem will kick ass of the below
T - Tether
E - EOS
E - Ethereum
M- Monero
I think they have a totally different target audience.
You can build a "steem like" on top of EOS, but Steem is specialized on the taks at hand but you would need word around EOS's generality to make a perfect fit

I know, it's really hard. On one hand you want to but when HF20 comes along and new account votes are going to be worthless there's a lot of long term consideration in continued growth, it's already frustrating enough for people to hang in there...even if it raises back up to what extent of success if less people come aboard for the long haul.

I hadn't thought of it before, but I can see how, with a little ingenuity, this could happen.
EOS from a technical perspective is great, but Dan Larimer has serious issues staying focused on one project for too long and I have lost faith in him. I wouldn't be surprised if Dan is already planning his exit to work on yet another cryptocurrency project.
