RE: STEEM SCHOOL EP 4 - REPUTATION AND HOW IT AFFECTS UPVOTES

in #steem7 years ago

yes reputation doesn't really matter much, but to an extent it gets you attention, it's easier to for 70 to attract your attention than a 35 or so.
it's much easier to read an article written by someone with a 70 reputation than someone with a 40.
Maybe it is not that much, but reputation can get a lot of people to check out what you write. Maybe that's when they find out whether you write sense or crap, but at least they had checked out your content.
Yes you are right, it's not much but it can a difference.

True... psychology.

However, as a newcomer, I always value the 'underdogs'. Same with publishing, I tend to read authors who are self-published. True, a lot of the 'noobies' have lots of crap, but there are others with real high-quality content (or at least, to what I like). So I tend to try and encourage and read others.

I agree as well, seeing newbies climb through godlike effort is a nice thing to see!

100% agree

Gotta get to reputation 70 asap!
