Sharing Is Caring: Why Steemit (STEEM) Is My Passion!!!

in #steem7 years ago (edited)

The blockchain is truly revolutionary. It is not a re-invention of something that went before. This is an entirely new Internet that is changing the power structure for all of mankind.

Personally, it is my mission to do all I can to assist humanity in its quest for freedom. We all operated under the thumb of the banksters and a system that favored them at the expense of almost everyone else. This blight has existed for over 100 years in this form and it is time to reverse course. The technology exists to free the human race like never before. Blockchain is that technology and it is unstoppable.

Since I came to Steemit almost 5 months ago, I did all I could to push this entire ecosystem forward. After a couple months on here I realized that people were not aware of what is truly taking place. Many look at price action believing that is a way to rate the progress. Repeatedly I tell people to ignore price action. It will go up and down as the market sees fit. Even though the media hounds like to claim the reason why that happens, the truth is they have no idea. In the cryptocurrency world, this is even more exaggerated since so few have any idea what is going on.

A comment by @papa-pepper on one of my posts mentioned how Steemit is bringing crytpo to the masses. Indeed it is. We are now just starting to see this revolutionary technology start to expand its reach. Unlike bitcoin or litecoin which required one to buy in, this is available for all to join. I mentioned this to a co-worker of mine today and his first question was "will this cost me anything?". That is what people are thinking and, fortunately for us, the answer is "no".

Yesterday I posted about the progress of @jakeybrown. He is here a bit over a month and is now in line to pull in over $1,000 in the next 7 days. Knowing I had a big hand in that really inspires me. This is evidence of a person changing his life and that of his family.

We have this opportunity to do this for millions. Part of the reason why I support the concept of basic income is because it enables people to say "no". When one lacks resources, he or she is obligated to take whatever job offered. The one constant in all of our lives is that the bills come on a consistent basis. When one needs money to pay said bills, and a job is the only path, one will take what is offered. That is why so many work in hopeless, dead-end jobs for years on end. What is sad is that, as a society, we are conditioned to applaud this. Talk about being brainwashed by the banksters.

Steemit became a passion of mine so that I can help others to pursue their passion. The nature of work has gotten to the point it is sickening. I was reading a post about one's experience in Iran and I was saying to myself, this is no different than the U.S. People being lied to by politicians, banskters starving the masses, and people living under fear. This is a world wide problem.

Dedication to Steemit will change your life. However, if you make it a passion, you can change the lives of many others. The wealth that is available here is amazing. Of course, it does not stop with Steemit. Many cryptocurrencies have the ability to alter the paths of millions of people. It is one of the reason I am equally committed to Manna and post the link at the end of each of my posts. I want as many people getting tokens as a form of income as possible. Between the two, it will give many people some breathing room.

It is up to us to expand this place and make it grow. I am here to do what I can with my writing and commenting. Billions are making Zuckerberg and Wall Street rich with their daily actions on Facebook. What is sad is most of them have no idea what is going on nor what "revolutionary" means.

My boss was talking about Facebook today and gave a couple examples of things he knows were sold on the new marketplace. He was going on about how it was a free service and his girlfriend contacted a seller at 2 only to get more than 30 inquiries by the time they picked up the product at 6. He stated that this was going to be "revolutionary".

I am sorry but a major corporation offer a free service at introduction to keep more people on their ecosystem does not quality as revolutionary to me. Google has been doing this for a couple decades. Get people in and keep them in...that is what these companies do. In this instance, we are simply switching chairs around. Instead of going to an Ebay, Facebook is used. How is that any different? Does anyone believe that if this concept takes off, Facebook won't start charging fees for the service? Of course they will.

This is just another example of humanity being sucked in and further controlled. The Facebook ecosystem, like all the silos, equal nothing more than slavery. When one does all the work yet gets none of the proceeds, that is slavery.

Fortunately, there is a new ecosystem that stands for freedom. The steem blockchain is in the process of freeing many people around the world.

I want to share this comment that was left yesterday:

I have to agree on what you said it is a gold rush with the rise of Steem and SBD that I held the last three months and the price of both skyrocketing last December I did a test pay out and converted about 15 SBD and got about 150 USD which amounts to about 7700 Philippine peso. A little gift to myself for the holidays as well as proof that earning in Steemit is not a scam.

Unfortunately here in the Philippines, Facebook is king. We have one of the heaviest concentration of active users who average at least 8 hours of use a day. Whenever I talk to people about the merits of Steemit all I get are answers that it's a scam that how would we monetize our content because we are ordinary people. They could not believe it and they go on spending their time looking at their phone tapping away and commenting their while Mark grows even richer with selling their viewing and selling habits.

Then I posted proof of my payout and the unbelievers started asking how?? Nothing motivates people like seeing proof.

75% of what I get I hold here and it revolves around contests, bots and powering up. I am just obsessed with stackin power! I want to reach 1000 SP but right now I bought delegation from @blocktrades to power me up albeit artificially.

25% I use to cash out some to buy steem in exchanges, some other alts and ICOs. Some times again I reward my self.

In a month I have cash out just 50 sbd and that is about 400 usd which is about 20 grand in pesos. The average minimum wage of a person here is about 200 usd a month. I got 20 usd from one post, one day that I made a quality content post. That is how hard things are in a third world country like the Philippines is. So showing that it can be done we got so many people who started in Steemit last December.

From 10 people we are now at 100+ in @steemitfamilyph. That was one of the reasons I bought delegation to be able to help teh New ones.

We gave them the expectations that Steemit is not easy. It's going to take time, good quality posts and building relationships. So they can't expect making 100's right away. But nothing demotivated people more than seeing zeroes so with my delegated power I am able to get them to at least a dollar amount. 7 dollars or 350 pesos for doing something that they would normally waste watching a video in Facebook or comment on the latest drama they have with friends and family seems that getting that 7 dollars is better.

The two examples you gave getting a grand a month made me hungry to get that! I'll continue getting people, building relationships and writing good content.

It is a gold rush and I am in and will be a Steemit millionaire in the Philippines in account of my creativity, marketing and relationship building. It is mine.

How can you not be juiced by a comment like that? This is something that we are all helping to create on a daily basis.

I was a bit low on VP when I read this comment but I gave him a 50% upvote nonetheless. It was worth close to 5 S.T.U. which elicited this comment:

Omg I am floored!! Thank you so much and indeed that vote will go to my road to 60 fund where in I'll have increased visibility, voting and curating powers!

I have also registered. I am an addict on New coins, air drops and bounties. I will spread it!

Do you know what that is? It is called hope. Here is an individual, @maverickinvictus, who is not only benefiting from what we do on here yet also carrying it to the others in his country. We never know what impact our words or an upvote while have on another.

The people earning STEEM on here are all being positively impacted. This ecosystem is already changing the lives of many. Even in the Western nations, where the wealth is much greater, there is still a lot of suffering. My goal is to assist as many people as possible to alleviate that, at least financially. This is the power we are granted by being a part of this blockchain.

Each day we have new people coming on here. One of the reasons I write what I do is because I know newer people read it. If they wanted whining and complaining, they could remain on Facebook. That place, from what I hear, is a cesspit of negativity. Steemit is different. People on here should have hope and need to exhibit that in their posts. If you want to complain, go see your therapist. Yes there are issues here which need addressing. It is not a perfect system. Nevertheless, telling us how miserable your life is will only get you isolated. Instead of complaining, do something about it.

Steemit provides a pathway to a better world. Unfortunately, none of us can arrive at that destination on our own. We need the input and assistance from as many as possible. If you want to change their world, then get passionate about this place. There are thousands of people who are feeling the positive effects...it is now time to turn that into millions. This can only happen if we all do everything we can. Each post, comment and upvote has an impact. Do not overlook that fact.

Of course, be mindful of what it is that you are posting since the impact can be both positive or negative.

It is amazing what happens when we cease focusing upon our accounts and start to assist others in growing theirs. When you seek to acquire STEEM so that you can increase your voting power to help move others forward, then you are beginning to understand the magic of this blockchain. In the end, we require others to upvote us if we are going to be successful. That means, we also need to do our part by helping others.

This is the circle of success which makes the STEEM system different from anything else out there.

For me, this isn't just a website but a mission. Freedom is available to all, we just need to get it to them.

Another home run Task! I was just checking my feed to see if there was a new post from the one and only @taskmaster4450 and BOOM! I have to get back to my so-called, "Real", job right now but I would rather up-vote some steemit content.
It is always inspiring to read about the positive effects of Steemit on peoples lives, not only that but knowing the potential STEEM has to increase this positivity is wonderful. Have a great week.

Most of us are in that situation @summertooth but hopefully for not too long. There are many different things coming along which will provide people with income as opposed to "work".

People spend too much of their lives in misery doing what they despise...it is time we push the envelop of freedom to all so that each can engage in his/her passion.

That is why we will also see a tremendous amount of ingenuity.

Amazing people like you inspire people who are in need :)

Really awesome to see others sharing about Manna. I hope to do a lot of this in 2018. I'm learning a lot about Steemit and it really sounds like it can help free people, it's terrible what is going on in many places in the world, yes, even in the USA/UK, so platforms like Steemit and initiatives like Manna look to be very important. Thanks for sharing!

For me, it is a powerful 1-2 punch to attack the poverty problem. The banksters established scarcity and we are seeing the potential to reverse it. Both programs enable us to put currency in the hands of people....my hope is not only does it spread far and wide but the currencies take off in price adding enormous value to what people have.

The reason I quit paying attention to ZuccerBook is because of all the negativity and drama. I just don't have time grown people who act that way.

The rewards I have seen, though not huge have definitely made a believer out of me. I am a Steem believer! This platform is changing my life and will change the world.

My biggest problem is that I have a day job that is very demanding so I can't devote the time I would like to. But all that will change with SP accumulation.

I see a day where I have to weigh the opportunity cost of the time I devote to work against what I'm gaining from it. This thought keeps me moving forward. I've thought of various scenarios for firing my boss and I have a few I really like.

But for now, I'll keep doing what I'm doing. I'll keep chipping away at these chains and collecting SP until I'm ready to reveal my true power level.

Thanks for another inspiring post.

Keep Steeming!

I definitely believe it will come to that point. STEEM is going through a channeling period after a nice run up. Cryptos often do that. Whether it is another week or a month from now, there will be a time when it spikes up into double figures....you will see 20s in the Spring sometime.

At that point, the values of the rewards shoots up greatly especially if the user base is growing. A strong user base adds validity to the value.

Yep. Keepen' my eye on THAT prize.

Now I've blinkered myself to all the nonsense and connecting with a few people, I've got to admit, I'm struggling to stay off the platform! It's great here, if used in the right way!

Dear @taskmaster4450,
I hope all is well, it’s been awhile. This post really touched home for me on many levels. Namely, your passion for Freedom. Freedom from the ill gotten bankers, freedom to choose, and freedom from the slavery we have been born into in regards to monetary matters. I agree 100 percent that we all deserve the freedom from being enslaved to bankers and conglomerates like FB. I found more abs more negativity on my posts on FB, another reason I made the total switch to Steemit. People have become to brainwashed in their slavery and support of the machine. I have tried many times to bring my 5k followers over but they are so stuck on the negativity rather than choosing a brighter future. Many times this has gotten me a bit down, but I have hope. If my VP ever reaches the point to help others, I agree that I will follow your lead and work towards education and support. I’m not sure if you saw one tag I sent you regarding my idea to photograph and interview those in my area and any thoughts on using Manna to assist them in a way of possibly assisting those trying to get themselves out of homelessness? It was a thought I’ve been toying with. As far as FB costs, I recently hosted a Reiki event and used FB, well for something that was supposed to be free I was charged over $100 and they keep billing me for something that was held back in August! Yeah, no FB is a total scam. You quoted someone who stated their 15 SBD turned into $150 USD, how? From my transfers it’s $1 for $1. I can totally see how this platform is helping those from very poor countries, they seem to have teams to. If it wasn’t for my constant contests, being adopted, and bots along with posting 2-4 times a day I’d be nowhere. The US exchange for even powering up is very low. My 6 weeks here with all the work I’m doing, is a very low payout. I love your ideal sharing is caring, I say these words all the time in my life and it is a principle I live by. Reaching millions will happen, people are so tired of their enslavement to horrible jobs and being treated badly. I also tagged you in a shout out about 7 days ago, did you see it? Big hugs and always blessings to you. Casandra. xx

How are you converting your SBD?

You want to use the market button on the SBD which takes you to the internal market...then buy your steem which then will appear in your wallet which you can power up.

If you need any help, send me a message on steemit.chat I am taskmaster4450 on there also.

Yes FB is a scam...they care nothing except for the bottom line. It is not surprising the 5K followers didnt come over...they rarely do. It is only the small minority who get here this early. Most of those followers will find out about this place...some might even join...but it will be down the road.

Through Blocktrades ... Doh!

You are so right, but on the other hand, if you really want to be successful, you either have the luck to be supported by a whale or invest into STEEM or SBD yourself. From "good content" (-whatever that is - who is there to judge?) alone, it will take you a long time - and that even though Steemit is just in its beginning phases. I was thinking of inviting some Facebook friends over, but to be honest: it´s way too complicated for them. Even for me - and I´m a natural in these things - it took me a lot of research and 2 weeks of intense reading and asking a lot of questions, to even get the basics. 99% of the people won´t do that and from the 1% that do invest this much time and research, the chances to really succeed are not that high either. So yes, Steemit is a kind of life philosophy when you get it, but it´s also lots of work. So I´m not sure, if our dreams of making Steemit the next Facebook will really come true....

That is true @atmosblack. This place is a bit tricky and I do hope the communities make it a bit easier for people to navigate. At present it really is a big stream of articles without much sorting or grouping.

As for being easy, not it isnt but then again, neither is living under the bankster controlled state. Everything is relative. Spending two weeks as you said to radically change one's life is not such a big exchange.

I also agree it is also difficult unless you can buy steem. However, as the price increases, which it will, even a small amount of SP will result in being a fair bit of money. I set up the 1KSP program because I feel that 1,000 SP will be $100K by the end of the year....that is a lot of money to most people.

Over the next couple years, we could see STEEM going much higher than that.

Totally true and open doors here for your ideas and spirit! I am open to invest into my/our future - just communicating this in a similar way on Facebook, I immediately saw, that there is literally no one under my 2000 friends there, who would be ready to do the same, which made me sad to be honest.... Anyway, keep up your positive vibes - I really appreciate your postings and what they transmit!

I am highly confident they will be in tokens at some point...we all will...it is the future.

Right now, we are the trailblazers. Blockchain is only 10 years old...compare that to how long it took for electricity to be embraced, the automobile, and computer....

Things didnt happen over night. We are already seeing a thriving, active blockchain with people making money. It is decentralized, incentivized, and open....

It is the model for what is to come.

Wait until the price of STEEM is $30 or $40 and see how people are reacting to this.

I expect, by the end of the year. we will have a few million on this blockchain.

I really do hope this happens and not, that the dark side of human nature comes into the forefront. You know, sometimes I have this feeling, that this is all a big social experiment, where they want to test what happens, when you give social power a monetary value. Maybe this is just my skeptical side that has troubles in believing in the good side of humans and their interactions....

You have some great goals and congratulations on helping all of those people on Steemit.

My main goal on steemit is to achieve enough financial freedom to travel a lot more and work for some charities that I hold close to my heart in the future. Starting out on Steemit is definitely hard - trying to not feel disheartened when your content gets very little traction is difficult, but if you love what you do you keep posting because you enjoy it!

Personally, I love cryptos! I think that the power of the blockchain is immense, especially in the area of asset management and identity verification - an application that some great charities are starting to adapt. I love writing about them and explaining to people how they work, the concept behind each one etc. I am going to keep writing and growing on Steemit for three reasons:

  1. I love to write and share my knowledge
  2. I want to give back to the community
  3. I want to gain the financial freedom to work for my true passions.

Thank you for the inspiring post, best of luck!

Hello :)

Steemit and blockchain are a gamechanger for so many people not only in poorer countries.

I have lived in France, Spain and the UK and since 2008 I have been searching for a legitimate and interesting way to eek out a portable living online whilst remaining true to my free spirit.

I used to do well selling my art and vintage online but this tailed off as markets became swamped.

I have been here for about 6 weeks now and am posting and commenting most of the day. I have managed to build up a small, yet still significant to me, pot and believe that finally I have found a way to add value to the world whilst supporting myself.

I am moved by the generosity of many who encourage and cheer and impressed by the numbers of people who are awake,

Hope.

That is what I have in my heart now.

And a solid belief that the corruption that pollutes our world can be readdressed.

I always knew that I was here to make a small difference in our world and now, finally, I have the vehicle to do just that.

Thanks for your inspirational posts.

xox

That is wonderful @idacy-laforge.

It is from that hope that you will keep up the desire to post and comment on here....it does take time and effort to succeed here.....especially if one does not buy in. However, by following the protocol of post, comment, upvote, one can achieve great heights.

People got a bit of a glimpse of what is going to happen with the recent run up in STEEM. While I tell people to ignore price action, the basic fact is that we will see much higher STEEM which adds to the dollar value of each person's accounts. This is what gets many excited since it is something they can relate to.

For me, I get juiced by the convergence of tech on the blockchain which is making it all possible...that is what I see when I look down the road at blockchain. I see DAOs and laugh at the banksters who are going to try and stand in front of that...good luck.

Politicians all over the world have been debating about universal basic income, hiring stupid administrators to do endless paperwork to "test" the feasibility of the idea. I say screw it. Politics is all about vested interests. Let Steemit turn into a platform where everybody has an opportunity to gain universal income. Power to the people!

That is true...politicians are only concerned about re-election...and being in bed with the banksters is what does that...it gets them the support and funding they need.

Steemit is one of the ways I see things changing. It is also why I support Manna and put the link at the end of my posts. I would like to see hundreds of millions involved...it is truly a basic income without the politicians.

I think it's about time we take back our freedom. The government has been stealing from the people and getting away with it for way too long. I agree that steemit is bringing cryptocurrency to the masses. I've never really heard about any other crypto currency than bitcoin before I joined Steemit. Now I know so much about cryptos, I could explain and talk about it to other people who know nothing about it. Steemit is simply starting something big, something that will shape our future! It's going to be a fun ride:)

It is a wonderful entry into the crypto world. There is so much going on with blockchain yet the masses are aware that this door does not even exist let alone them going through.

We are going to see word spread quickly I believe. I know a few people who told others about this since they started to make some money. As more start to get into that category, we will see the sign ups only expand. Success leads people to tell others about it.

Each day it seems like the blockchain is becoming more known to everyone. And I agree, everyone is spreading the word, because they find success with it!

I agree @trendo although it is still an abstract to most. They heard blockchain, but it is a word and, perhaps a concept to most.

That is what is highly valuable about the steem blockchain, people can sign up without any money and start using it. Here, once someone is approved, they are on the blockchain and entering that world.

It is a new experience yet it also brings the concept home to people.

And since it's a quite complex technology, just giving a hint about it is not enough. You really gotta sit down with the person and explain everything clearly to make him trully understand the blockhain. Of course, no better way to learn about it than register and try it out for yourself!

Yes I read an article by someone who follows and writes about the tech industry and it was basically saying that 10 years in, there is no use for the blockchain....

I think I will have to write an article about it.

Oh really? That is a very bald statement for someone to make, lol... I can't imagine a scenario where the blockchain is going to be useless.

The value of a platform is in it's users!! And steemit is made in a way which incentives users to not only post, but post quality material!!
I truly believe this is the future, I'm so hyped man!
PEOPLE! Join the revolution!!!
As a steemit newcomer, I approve this message hehe
Cheers mate!

I truly believe this is the future, I'm so hyped man!

I love reading this...it is awesome.

That is the attitude that I have.

I want to pole-vault forward 2-3 years down the road when there are tens of millions of people on here making money...it will be an awesome time.

Couple that with streams from other cryptocurrencies and we will see a new paradigm being used by people.

Exactly mate!! Will be here to watch this grow.
Ps. Ur profile pic looks just like my kitty!! (Latest post haha)
Nice post mate, cheers!

I believe your posts are probably the most encouraging on all steemit. After reading them I always feel a little bit more excited about our future as a community.

In my case, I am from Venezuela and steemit is a golden opportunity because right now my country is totally collapsed and earning a good living is quite difficult here because among other reasons, we have a currency exchange control so the inflation is destroying people purchasing power and it’s ilegal to exchange the local currency for others more stable.

So steemit is changing my life and I am trying to promote it to other Venezuelans so they can too avoid more suffering and survive this economic collapse.

Everyday I seem to learn something new about steemit and the different communities, it truly is an enrichment experience.

Cheers!

That is a great story @dedicatedguy. It sucks what happened in your country but the fact there is an alternative is very encouraging. I hope all in your country listen to you.

By the way, you will want to spread your referral code for Manna..I posted the link for sign up at the end of my post....it is a good idea to get all you can involved in that since it was designed as a basic income. One of the co-founders is married to a woman from your country so the situation there hits home with them.

That was my story but I kicked their butts with the whole forces of steemit behind me and I am doing just grand

You are a Steemit success story @edith4angelseu.

It is heart warming to read about those who were able to give the "man" the finger and make it off here.....that is my ultimate desire too....

Unfortunately, I have a little while longer in the rat race.

Great post. Resteem. The fact that I agree with everything and so it is clear. But in this article there was a special moment. When I read this guy's comment, I remembered myself. I also rejoice when I receive a weighty reward. I think everyone is so happy. From this conclusion - steem brings happiness and joy.

Великолепный пост. Resteem.

I can only imagine what it is like to get an upvote that has a dollar content which is a substantial amount of what one lives on for an entire month. This is what gets me juiced.

It really is amazing what we can do with a single upvote.

I saw your title and headline...

Sharing Is Caring: Why Steemit (STEEM) Is My Passion

and knew I had to stop in and read this post! It could have been me writing those nine words for a post.

And this...

It is amazing what happens when we cease focusing upon our accounts and start to assist others in growing theirs

I stopped looking at accounts' reputations, wallets and all other aspects and have made it my sole ambition to not only succeed here but to take others along with me for the ride.

Passion is the exact word to describe how I feel about steemit, the communities I belong to and the great friends I have made in my short time here.

I fall asleep thinking about ways to improve on being a Stewards of Gondor recipient, I wake up thinking of ways to promote other people. I have even become a mentor in one of my communities; helping new steemians and sharing my knowledge, ideas and brainstorming.

Steemit has given me new life when I had been stagnant with my writing and blogging career.

You epitomize what @fulltimegeek was thinking about when he started delegating his SP @goldendawne.

That is a prime example of a program that is making an enormous difference on here. All the SP that was spread around is helping others to increase their SP through our voting. It is hard to imagine how many different people were touched by that program and continue to be so. Each upvote we give carries more impact because of what he did.

I often wonder how many people I have touched, let alone ALL the SOG's combined. I can only imagine, and hope, we have reached every aspect, every community and every possible steemian here. FTG has truly given new meaning to paying it forward!

I ❤️ You two. 😪

Thank you! Yes... steemit does tend to bring out the joy and friendship we treasure!

Yes ma’am. I get this feeling from a few and you two are included in those sentiments.

The more progress Steem makes in the developing world the better it makes for the legitimacy of the decentralized network and that STEEM is the cryptocurrency that is open for all with opportunity and ingenuity.

I agree completely @clumsysilverdad.

That is the area where the results can be seen the easiest. A few dollars a day from the Steemit community could really make a difference in someone's life.

I also think the proving of this concept spreads a lot quicker there. One person making some decent money for the area will get others to listen very easily. Here in the US, at least, it takes a much higher dollar amount. So if you tell someone you made $100 they will be like, that is nice. Tell them you made $10K, and you have their attention.

In those parts of the world, we can provide the basics to them for only a few dollars a day...move them into the tens of dollars a day and we are uplifting entire areas.

That is the ultimate goal.

Thank you for your excellent and uplifting words, coming from a newb that literally discovered steemit last night and joined your community this morning. This is all so wild to me. And freeing, as I am starting my own farming business this year and am so entirely sick of working in corporate America. I look forward to adding valuable content to steemit, to HELP people grow their own food, encourage people to start their own businesses by sharing my journey in doing so.
I am very humbled by your words and the kindness I've found on this platform so far. Makes me want to stick around.

Welcome heirloomsoul.

With the right attitude, this place is a path few ever envisioned. Try to stay positive and realize that it does require effort. However, over time, you can build a following and get involved with people that will help you. I suggest doing a lot of commenting over the first 6-8 weeks. This will really help you to develop some ongoing interaction with people.

The story about the person from The Phillipines is certainly inspiring. I know it isn’t easy back there. I work with people who are from there, and moved here to Canada to have a better life for themselves an for their families. I’ve heard their stories about just how much of a grind it is for them to make a living there. Hopefully, steem can make a difference with lot of lives back there!

I do appreciate the use of the word passion.

I have always in my life only had two ways of doing something - full-on or not at all.

I can't do 'half-a$$ed'.

I do now spend most/all of my day thinking about new posts and working up new ways to promote steem.

Last week I was working on a new scheme to give more money to steemit charities each month. Yesterday I came up with my #signup100 campaign.

My family do seem to think I am becoming too evangelistic.

Maybe. But I see this as a once in a lifetime opportunity to make an impact and improve the world.

Can I afford to miss it?

there are several things I like on steemit:

  • you get paid for writing. That one is obvious. But it's not the only reason I do it. I would probably even use steemit if it was just free to use without payment, for it's ad-free and doesn't feed Big Data. This alone is a huge advantage over FB, twitter and the like
  • because of their mutual financial interested, the community is mostly nice, helpful and works together - you have much more the feeling to belong to some bigger picture. Your are. As more and more people are streaming in, it migh be a challenge to keep it that way though.
  • I read great content and opinions about stuff I would never read elsewhere, and for a collector of thoughts and ideas like me, that is quite a treasure

"Fortunately, there is a new ecosystem that stands for freedom."
Freedom AND transparency. Facebook will never be as transparent as Steemit and they will pay for it.

Very possible although Steemit is more after the Reddit crowd...that is the easiest conversion.

steemit is serves a great purpose and it will change the face of this planet, providing a way out for poor people, i'm so happy to wake up in the morning and check my steemit account and see new money ,, its great, awesome

Like other people are saying in the comments, our posts are one of the most inspiring here on steemit. It gives people a target to push towards and helps them see how the future might look.
I'm curious what you do at work.

You points are spot on. Steemit is taking blockchain tech to the masses. I am finding more and more of what I do on a computer is Steemit!

There are steemit members who used the profit to feed the poor. It is great initiatives. I donated some of my earning to steemit in the area of charity by certain member. It is really a platform of uplifting each other by upvotes. The great sharing attitude like how your post interprets. Thanks for the post and passion!

Yeah, this is freedom for us, decentralization is the power which all time locate as upper erect, many thing now follow this type of strategy, it's a better opportunities

Thank you. I keep getting tempted to horde my VP to save it up for something big, but in reality, the best thing to do with your VP is to spend it to help people, especially those that are new to Steemit. It is especially nice now that my voting strength is enough to actually move the meter a little.

That is true it is best to spread it around to people.

However, only use 20% per day since that is the only amount that recharges each day. Higher than that and you run a deficit.

Each 100% vote is replaced in 2.4 hours....you get 10 100% votes each day.

I do realize that. I was just trying to keep my VP about 95%, which means when you sleep or have a life outside of Steemit, you get stuck at 100% often.

Steemit is amazing platform that literally saving people lives in many ways. I also support concept of basic income. Just say "no" to banksters:).

It's funny that we can see that, we being people on the steem blockchain. For others it's not so easy, the idea that you get paid because you contribute is very foreign and difficult to understand because it's never happened before.

Yet, people have been talking about the future of work being the gig economy but when presented with an example they baulk at the idea. Slowly minds will change and they will realise that the reason steem works is because the "real world" has been working that way for centuries except now we get to benefit.

Who would have thought being the class clown could get you paid, it's crazy.

Very positive humanity post ..thanks for the shares

Steem community has thought me a lot of things this community means a lot to me personally because this community is the perfect example of united we stand divided we fall..... Hope our this small community grows everyday and overtake Facebook and Instagram... Hope this day comes soon @taskmaster4450

Yes my man @taskmaster4450. We are merely reaping the early benefits of blockchain technology by being on Steemit.. Definitely more that we can do with this new technology!! I'll admit that as a student, it's not easy for me to commit into this as an income stream (because I got my business and studies to work on) - but learning about the blockchain technology, to me, that's the most important feature of Steemit right now!!
