I disagree completely with that assessment.
To start, you are going to kill other application on this blockchain. Limiting 4 posts a day means Zappl, DTube, Steemit, DMania, and Steepshot have to be combined.
Is that what we really want?
As I stated, do we want people coming to this blockchain and telling them to limit their social media usage?
Memes arent my thing but there are people who love them and post a ton of them. Should they be limited?
And if Zappl or Steepshot ever want to take on Twitter and Instagram, they cannot be limited.
Of course, this isnt even touching upon once the can of worms is opened, where does it stop.
Why not limit it to 3...or 2....or only right wing politics...or left wing....or politically correct...
I dont think that is a slope we want to go down.
Arguably posts on Zappl, Dtube, DMania and Steepshot shouldn't appear as a main blog post.
That content could exist somewhere else on the blockchain, even in the form of a comment.
I would agree with that...I dont understand why all those applications show up in the blog.
Nevertheless, it does so if a cap is put on, then those apps are affected.
Maybe I should clarify a bit better. You can post/comment as much as you want daily, but your personal posts should only be eligible for rewards on the first 4 posts each day. 4 is an arbitrary number that I borrowed from @papa-pepper which he took from the old steemit white paper, so it used to exist.
Interacting with others is just as important as doing your own posts, once again I think there is no need at all to post more than 4 times a day, or at least limiting potential rewards to the first 4 posts. since the reward pool is limited each day, why should someone who posts 10 times a day with limited or useless information be able to take much more of the reward pool than someone who creates one thoughtful post per day?
