I have a game for you and I am not sure if there will be a prize or not. Oooooh, exciting... Are you excited? I really shouldn't ask that on the internet, especially here. But, I was just wondering that since I post long, boring articles and when I ask people to think about the community, it is rarely met with a lot of enthusiasm so, here is another approach.

If prizes happen, all proceeds from the prize/time running 'must' get powered up including liquids on the internal market.

So, what I want to know is how would you MAXIMISE your worth. You can do whatever you like (just not get arrested) bidbots, vote trading, spamming, self voting comments, begging in chat and DM, scamming your Aunt Lucy out of her life savings....

I would make 10 very poor and crappy comments a day and upvote them all with 100%. I wouldn't read any of the posts of others, I wouldn't even read twice my own comments, they would be like ''awesome post'' or ''keep it up''. Then I would set an alarm to remind me that i have to comment and upvote every two hours. --> no effort, relatively good reward!!

The maximum value could maybe be selling the account to some dork.
Creating a new account with 1000 SP delegation, then telling someone how expensive Steem is and showing off the 1000 SP (as delegation), as I know most people don't know the difference at first.
Then just send the password as email and maybe in the end change the password when I have got the money from the scammed victim.
If I would not be so mean, I would just add the new account to auto-upvote my own posts and hope that the new user doesn't know how to stop it.

I would promise to upvote someone's posts if they find me a whale's address. Then I would pay that whale a visit and murder them. Then I would steal their logging info (or I might do this before murdering them... this isn't the final plan) and send all their SDB and Steem to my account.

I’d probably be a bad pick but if whoever wins could curate a few of the new sections or less used tags that’d be great. It’s so hard to get seen on Steem with all these bots and whales.

EDIT: if it’s just about maximizing my account value I’d self vote and sell votes for Steem. Currently a ton of these bots get paid more for votes than they give out via votes.

That would be a great idea and help for whoever wins. The hard part is maximizing the account value as to all of us have different agendas nowadays. Should I put the SP delegation upvoting every minnow that writes nice article? That is going to be a tedious job because it will require me to be on everyday which is nowadays I am slacker.Second, should I collaborate with another Steemian who has a lot of SP to do generous program for a month to help the less fortunate children/people.Third, should I put it to good use by delegating a small percentage of it to deservi ng minnows. Fourth, can I just maximize it for my personal gains. The list could go on but since I am a slacker right now I may not be a candidate. But thanks for trying hard and motivating who ever read your post to have some awareness how to make this community better and not the other way around.i.e. abusing, spamming etc.

the first thing I would do would be post 12 hours a day without running out of bandwidth which is something that keeps happening. And I would up vote my posts and comments a lot and also all the posts I posted on and all the people who replied to me and all my buddies posts. Like a real asshole.

I will use it to curate quality contents on the platform. I know how I felt spending two days on research to make a high quality content yesterday and still have it at $0.02 as we speak...It's annoying and so i will take the pain to go through every post I lay my eyes on and curate those who have actually put in work yet were not seen by others.
I will support lots of projects with my upvotes becuase I know how important projects are to this community.
I will probably even start up my own project to support the community
I will organise contests to reward steemians who deem it fit to participate.
I will always go through my comments and upvote engaging individuals like you do.
I will keep making high quality contents and will upvote myself to increase its visibility but that will be a maximum of two posts a day and won't be everyday.

An effective guide to Steem mining/farming
Clearly, you can't delegate the amount to one account due to potential voting power restrictions and potential flagging. Split the whole thing up into 10 accounts and then set up a bot to copy and paste spam into a post every ~2.4 hours. Upvote yourself (of course).
With the other 9 accounts, upvote that post ASAP in order to maximize the curations rewards from that post (since you own the author's account). Remember an image for extra street cred and vote-ability. Rinse and repeat at full voting power (~2.4 hours).
That's the most you can do with your own voting power, but you can do better as you still have bandwidth to spend. With the remaining 9 accounts, spam comments on new users post in order to minimize flagging. They are new users, they don't know better. Don't comment with your first account, because we want to minimize the odds of it getting caught for plagiarism.
If you're really greedy, take some of those commenting accounts and promote a upvote for SBD service. Use the word "minnow" in the account. It will give the impression you are helping the community and again the new users won't know better.
I would never do such a thing personally, but I'm sure there are people using the variant of the strategy to maximize their HUGE gains and gather MASSIVE profits.

If I had the technical expertise, I'd start a bid bot. Hands down that's the best approach. If you can sell votes on the side too, better for you, but you'll get caught eventually. Although apparently no one really cares.
With the skills I have, I could vote all my own posts, like a jerk. If the goal is to maximize my returns within the 4 weeks, I would just vote for myself. I would ask for the new account with 1,000SP for 4 weeks and I would only vote my own stuff. That's it.
If we're looking at the long-term approach, I would do the same thing that I'm doing now. I would continue to vote for the content I like, for the people I like, and they'd continue to vote for me. My votes for them would make them stronger and their votes for me would make me stronger. That being said, it would take time.

How;
I will show off my account and tell individuals whose account value is below mine to pay certain amount of sbd, upvote and resteem my post at 100 percent in order for me to do same for them. Then i escape into the thin air, at least they cant flag me since i would have a higher reputation.
I will create new accounts, ensure i post anything i feel like on those accounts, even if its few words, then upvote those accounts in order to avoid people suspecting them as an abandoned accounts. After about two weeks, i will delegate some steem power to the account and put it up for sale, all payments must be in steem to the original account.
I will definitely sell votes and resteem service in return for steems
I will flag account for no good reason and tell the account owner to send some steem to my account for upvotes.

I definitely would not self-vote at all honestly. I rarely do anyway on my posts, never have on any of my comments. I consider myself an extremely active user and I spend a lot of time on the site just reading through everyone's posts that I am following as well as reading new posts in the "new" section.
I comment whenever I can think of something insightful to add to conversation, or if I can leave a genuine compliment for the person's work. Having that SP delegated to me would actually allow me to space out my percentages more to start giving more worthwhile upvotes that I wish I could give more often!
If I have a 1000sp delegation? Okay here are a few things I would bear in mind
No matter how much I love a person or how interesting the post is, I would never give you my upvote in the first 20minutes. Timing of upvote is everything in Curation.
I would vote on good Dtube content, utopian-io and Curie approved contributions before the upvote by @dtube, @utopian-io or @curie so I can earn some good Curation reward. Eavesdropping on their discord channels tells you who's approved and who's not.
I would focus on curating post by small account but of high quality where my vote will make a noticeable impact. If I do this they will likely head over to my blog to drop their tiny coins in hope of sustaining the relationship. Their upvote is small but tiny drops makes the ocean.
with 1000sp I could spread my vote wide and makes lots more engaging comments without fear of bandwidth arrest. And thoughtful comments have proven to bring home goodies.
Upvote thoughtful comments on my post and reply them. This would send the messages out that I bless those who pass through my land and again people will start flocking in with their tiny coins to start a relationship and be noticed. Tiny drops makes the oceans.

Well finally I would continue my weekly contest on the Steemititians but would spice it up some more by increasing the prize and with my increase voting power I can appreciate every entry with my upvotes. I know the struggle we minnows are facing. It's only four week you know, not that much. Therefore, I will vote twenty minnows a day in between 15 to 30 minute period to maxise my curation revenue along with them getting author revenue. I can consider to vote my self posts occassionally without hurting my reputation. I am expecting to raise 100sp to my account and then continue the same path to grow manyfold. Thanks for giving me chance to imagine this fantasy.
The trick here is to maximize personal gains while flying under the radar and not drawing too much attention to yourself. To do this I would see how this works:
A 1000SP upvote is about $0.25 at 100% so in theory I should be able to make $2.50 worth of upvotes every day. With SBD above $3 still, it should all add up to close to 100 STEEM by the end of the month.

That's what I'd do, I think building community on smaller scales is what steemit needs next, so obviously I'd start with my own :)
With a 1000 SP delegation I'd be able to actually sit down and run some curation. I don't self-vote but I do understand how to curate properly in a way everyone profits in the end (nah, its not by circlejerking, I know you're thinking that). Before you tell me I'm full of shit, I've got a bot running pinpointing the best curators to follow. I don't follow it now but with 1000 SP who knows.
Fresh account I'd bot flat out. We build all sorts of bots and I can make that shit find the cream of the crop without upvoting a single scammer and still profiting.

I would use the power to upvote others posts that interest me, as well as comments that added value to the topic or discussion. The payout would be small at first, but would attract attention from others of like mind. This would result in growing my tribe which would produce more long term profits as they in turn would also introduce me to others within their sphere due to their seeing me amidst the noise.

I would probably delegate 1000SP of my own, just like @wwf did for receiving @fulltimegeek delegation. In the long term this will probably be the best option to maximize my worth, since steemit is all about communities and teamwork. Besides, by doing small contributions for the growth of the community, that could in the long term increase the price of steem, which would be good for all of us. I think with this attitude steem is limitless.
If you were hoping to read some selfish answers then the amount of delegation would need to be higher. With 1000 SP the best way is to continue doing teamwork.

As a new user what to do is far different then what someone with experience would do.

Do not know how to vote effectively
all this and more would have to be learned quickly in order to be effective.
My quick answer is to help along as many minnows as possible and use it to advance my knowledge . That is the goal and only goal.
One could not accept such an offer without the offer-er being put into a mentor position . So the challenge commits both parties to gain the maximum results or set goals . That would be the only way a minnow could come up with the how.

I would simply hack the Steem Blockchain code related to the inner code pointing to my own account or the new fresh account with 1000 SP given to me on steemit UI to add a pair or trio of zeros to the right of the 1 in that SP figure. And then, once done that, for maximun gain and truly MAXIMISE my worth. I would also simply modify the code in my steem wallet to allow me to move the total of my SP to SAVINGS where at that current 0% APR, I have no doubt I would be in a position to kick Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Amancio Ortega & Mark Zuckerberg asses, all them together, in no time. }:)

I just wouldnt change anything and I do not think that getting a 1000 sp delegation (or not) should be a reason to
personally I find my behaviour on steemit ok and therefore would not alter my behaviour.
and keep my smartsteem account active that sells my surplus voting power to whitelisted users (users that provide non spam/plagiarized content)

Actually, first of all I post everyday 3-4 posts and upvote to the stemians who commented on my post. So, I can get new followers and upvotes. Also, I will upvote the most valuable posts after 30 mins and I will get max curation rewards. Also, I can arrange a contest for some of the steem to be more popular.
