RE: What is up with the steemit hate?!

in #steem8 years ago

I saw that video where Andreas Antonopoulos disparaged Steem. His reasoning was this: he heard how much someone made from one post, like $15,000 and his first thought was that it sounded scammy (which it does). His reaction was based on those types of stories, which does make this platform appear to be off-kilter. We all know that a post's true value is not reflected in here. No post is worth $15,000, and I'm sure we can all agree on that.
I think if Andreas had experienced Steem for himself, he might have a different answer.

Yea, getting approached by someone: "You should post there and you will be rich" does sound like a scam.

However he should have taken the time and studied it a bit. Tried it out and interact with folks here. It's his job, why has he not done it?

Steem is the only social media app powered by a blockchain and he has not even tried to use it? That to me just sounds fishy.

Andreas is in love with Bitcoin, so he probably is not interested in Steem. In time, if Steem is successful in bringing crypto to more mainstream people, he will know about it.

Yes. BTW thank you for reading and interacting with my post. You are a star to me.

ha! I'm not a star. I'm a regular person who has a very very very short attention span. I'm in the re-appreciation of Steemit phase, now that the high expectation phase has died off.

too funny.

I am very happy you are coming back. I was sad to see you pull away.

I go thru phases myself. We must also never forget how much of this is new and unexplored.

i have the shiny object syndrome. I'm really good at starting things, not so great at being consistent and finishing.
