I think Steemit needs to work for media other than writing. It's easy to post a video here. It needs to be as easy to post a photo album that is easy to browse in full screen. I know Steemit doesn't really want to host that media, so they need to make it embed nicely. I've been people using the Soundcloud embedded player, but that may be by using the html that Soundcloud can provide.
We know from Tsu and other sites that some people just enjoy seeing pictures. I don't think they should exclude any audience. Steemit needs users, so can't just be for geeks. If there's good enough content then that may be enough for some. They use other sites for no reward if the experience is good enough.
If people start posting lots of stolen images then it may be possible for bots to detect this and vote them down. Tsu said they would do that sort of thing, but I didn't see any sign of it.
Yes agreed! Hopefully more good folks choose to join and find cool ways to post out here. I do wish for a easier way to post images as well. I do like that posts of very low quality regarding violations of the rules can get down voted and discarded. It should encourage original higher quality posts to get rewarded. Thus better performing creators.
